Can someone people explain why people are so mad every three seconds for anything at all?
“So guys we just removed some blood particles, and lowered the whole, Mature manly thing.”
“Oh my -yoinking- -yoinking- you guys are terrible!!! Reach was the best Halo!!! Falcon is the best vehicle and Emile should still be alive, lol!”
Like. C’mon. You guys aren’t entitled to your vertiberd for Spartans. But, back to the topic. Why are you guys mad for being able to move faster? Like. Really? You guys are going to complain and type letters in pure rage, just because of some new values and animations? Nice. Or because now the less skillful people can beat the MLGPROONYXCHAMPIONSPITEFULPARTYDMRGODS, just by aiming down? Like c’mon you can now move faster and put your gun in the middle. The Halo franchise is now ruined because I was a god with hipfiring and moving like a slug. Then again Halo wasn’t the hardest thing, but whatever.
Though don’t get me wrong, 343i can mess up. Like their servers. Pls 343.
I can’t explain anything to people who aren’t receptive to different ideas.
I’m so tired of explaining why I hate sprint. It’s pointless. You know another way of making people move faster? By simply making them move faster.
One of these days I’m just gonna have to get off my -Yoink- and record some gameplay of no-sprint games of all genres like Quake, Trouble in Terrorist Town, TF2, etc.
Because this is a video game forum, that’s all they do, complain.
Most of what you’re reading is just the frustration of the moment. People post when they’re all worked up… because they’re all worked up. If they took a minute to calm down then they’d end up writing things that are still critical but read much more rationally. Of course, if they took a minute to calm down then they probably wouldn’t bother to write anything at all. It is what it is. Don’t take it personally.
And sorry, Ram. I don’t want to move faster all of the time. Just some of the time.

Maybe a mechanic that CS:GO uses… You can either run or walk.(Just Toggle/Hold Shift or Analog Stick) Running has louder footsteps as always. Or yeah, just increase movement speed and have people barely tap their analog stick.
And with the topic, I don’t mind change at all. All I want is good music, good story, fun gameplay, fun Custom Games, and Forge. So far, no Halo has ever disappointed me by lacking that. I also like the addition of DLCs every month.
There are games where splitting the movement speed up instead of having a uniform speed makes sense (i.e. "I don’t want to move fast all the time). Typically games that require an increased amount of precision, or games where having fast movement and strafe just over-exaggerates the difficulty of an already difficult game. You probably wouldn’t want a single fast speed in a platformer that requires you to not overshoot tiny platforms. Nor would you want this in a game where there’s already tons of mechanics that make aiming against even slow moving targets to be problematic (bullet drop, recoil, having to take the time to set up ADS before engaging, etc).
Halo suffers from none of those problems, and fast paced free-flowing combat has always been an aspect of arena-style games. I think it comes down to a fundamental disagreement on what kind of shooter Halo should be.
TLDR:
I don’t hate the concept of sprint in videogames.
I hate the concept of sprint being put into an arena game because it’s antithetical to what these games are supposed to be.
It seems that you are unaware of exactly what the issues are that people are talking about. People aren’t foaming at the mouth for no reason. There are legitimate complaints and concerns.
I would suggest doing a little more research. The answers are out there, you just have to do a little reading.
Uh What? Complaining about complainers doesn’t fix anything.
