Why are people still headless???

I was playing an Oddball game in Team Objective, when one of the other team’s guys suddenly turned headless and armorless immediately after he fired his Plasma Pistol. I proceeded to melee him, then it LOOKED like I headshot him with the DMR immediately after, but naturally he didn’t die because the bullet went straight “through” his invisible head.

I reviewed the film of the entire match, and it turns out his headlessness only occurred a single time in the whole match. Could this be a glitch? I was pretty sure people were doing it deliberately in playlists like SWAT.

I sent this guy (I guess I can’t tell you his name because that would be “calling someone out”) a message politely asking him to respond to the pics/clips in my file share and whether he did that on purpose or if it was unintentional.

I really thought this would have been sorted out after this many months of it being a public issue.

I thought 343 said the hitboxes were still there so it only gives the illusion they’ve got no head?

Do DMR bullets always travel all the way through the body/head? Sniper rounds do, but I didn’t think the DMR did that too. If the hitbox is still there, then wouldn’t the bullet trail stop at his head/neck?
