Why ARE people going super tryhard in social?

I’m not saying like trying to win, i’m saying forming these really really coordinated groups just to steam roll randoms.

If you want to work in groups and try your best why not do it where it counts in arena?

Most people who played this game casually left long ago, so the community is saturated with players who are quite experienced and competitive? At least thats what I think is going on.

Try hard or Die hard :stuck_out_tongue:

Never seen die hard o.o

As far as I’m concerned, people say Social is playing for fun.
To some players, teaming up and going “super tryhard” is fun.

Then again, perhaps these players aren’t individually very good, like, if they were all randoms they’d do as good as the random team they’re “steam rolling”. They do good because they’re teamed up.

This is however not a new thing either, been like this since Halo 2.

Seen plenty of parodies XD Thank you Cleveland show

I’ll check it out

When I go up against tryhards in the social playlists, it is either:

  1. In a party, coordinating their attacks
  2. Your teammates just suck
  3. They were on their game that day
  4. You are just goofing off
    and finally…
    5: Aimbot, literally.

Got to warm up big boi.

if ya know what i’m sayin’

We were just in Big Team and Warzone in a party but we weren’t going super try hard. Just more fun playing with other people. We actually were matched against other parties as well. If 343i has a problem with it they should limit party sizes.

Get REQ or get REKT

I said this once in the Destiny forums so I’ll just repeat myself here:

You do not wanna find yourself in a position where your complaint is literally that people are playing the game well. It’s unsympathetic and kinda scrubby. No matter what classification a playlist is, randoms will get slaughtered by team if even just three guys are partied up in it.

Best bet is to adapt and the play the situation rather than hope the other team is made up of random kids. The point is to win, ranked or not.

this isnt tf2.

I regularly find myself watching people move in small groups through a map and I’m just like “We’re about to get it up the ventilation shaft.”

It’s part of it. Play your best and give props to good players.

Unless you shoot them a lot and they don’t die. Then it’s -Yoink- and you should throw your controller.

This happens to me all the time, although I dont throw the controller.

Maybe they are practicing in social to learn new game strategies in a gametype where it wont affect there rank?

I usually just okay solo but I have been using the Holiday playlist to learn the maps since I havent played slayer yet in arena.

I agree with this. Warzone is bad about having organised teams destroying randoms. MCC was like this for the longest time. Now its somewhat better. Less pro players on MCC now. I wondered why Battlefront limited team play to two people. I’m sure it was to prevent it from being dominated by clans/teams.

Because it’s just competitive without ranks.
