Why are people flocking back to MCC?

IMHO My Halo MCC server is getting more active. I assume it’s because of the issue’s with Halo Infinite. Is it because that Halo MCC Is More Stable than Halo Infinite?

What is your thoughts?

I dunno about flocking, but it could have something to do with the current state of the Infinite.

Well infinite got really less content, the only good thing is the game play. For me, campaign is not worth re-playing it cause everything there is kinda copy and paste.
No forge, no infection, no bomb, no vip etc all those cool costume games can not be played cause there is no forge, nearly all armor is hidden behind a pay wall, battle pass missed 20 levels because 343/MS have decided to stretch content with stuff they cutted from the original 120 level battle pass.
No armor is earned by skill like recon in halo 3, no exp system that reward you with the rank that shows how much you played. The challenge system is bad, no forge to have fun with so yeah, why playing the game when the mcc got so much content and is so more fun?

I haven’t played infinite for a week and I don’t miss it at all. I’m sure there will be more weeks to come where I don’t play this game.
Since 343 and MS decided to make this game a money milking machine I can give them a slap cause I don’t play that game and have self control to not buy overpriced stuff

There haven’t been any fun merit based rewards since Halo 3 to be fair.

Yes and no. The yes you already pointed out, but the no is that a lot of people where always intending to play both Infinite and MCC, but in the first 2-3 weeks first wanted to grind out Infinite before splitting the time between both.

MCC has all the previous titles and is where the story started. People will always have nostalgia towards it and there will keep wanted to play that from time to time. So it should be no surprise that the population went up again after the first few weeks of Infinite.

MCC has seen a nice spike in player activity.

Idk maybe because there’s litterally nothing to do in infinite.

A lot of people here have major rose tinted glasses on. They don’t realize thelat litterally every mode and map and be played in all the other Halos

Got something to corroborate this?

Finding matches way easier, and steam charts. I hopped over too until they fix this soup sandwich of a game.

Finding matches has always been easy, and Steam charts put the averages only within a 400 player spread for populations over the last 3 months.

Got something else By any chance?

Nope, just my POV.

I could rarely find matches in MCC in ranked.

There’s going to be a steady playerbase that fluctuates back and forth between Infinite and MCC. Halo has always had huge chunks of players who just play Halo wherever it’s the most stable, and right now, tons of BTB players are going to be in MCC.

Personally I still pop on MCC for the achievements, challenges, season passes and unlocks etc. It’s also a cracking good time full of nostalgia. I really only play Infinite for the same reason as there’s not much to do without Forge and broken custom games.

Well, you’re wrong.
Completing MCC campaigns on legendary gave you Helioskrill armor set in H5.
That was fun to me.

True but at least I had recommendations, ranks besides arena and so much content that wasn’t cut from the game only to share it as “free”

I’m one of those people. I just enjoy MCC more than infinite. The progression is better, I have actual choice in playlists, the customization is better, there are tons of maps, the games i find are higher quality and I rarely experience any kind of lag or desync, there is a customs games browser, there is mod support, and the list goes on and on.

With that said, MCC has taken a while to get to this point. I like the core mechanics of infinite better, but it’s in a really rough state.

I have gone back to Halo guardian. Infinite is a complete embarrassing mess. The weapons, movement, shot registration in 5 is a lot more consistent than infinite.

Not stable, but better, the population with Halo 5 is pretty high too.
