I don’t understand how people are defending what 343i did with specialization and the limited edition! Am i the only one that sees that when a company makes it so that only people who pay more get accesses to higher levels and different game changing perks the whole community loses! This is the exact thing i don’t want in my Halo games and why companies like Activision and EA are talking about making online cost extra! This is why i always loved Bungie, who i hate to bring up because I believe this is 343i show, and how they never charged for anything but dlc maps and kept the price constant throughout the Halo’s.
Instead I see people on this forum talking about how “You’re lucky you’re even able to get these dlc’s at all!” Don’t they realize that that kind of talk hurts the entire community by saying that only the lucky few should have accesses to bonus features? I’m trying not to sound whiny because i didn’t spend the extra money, but that is only because when i went to pre-order the game (about a month and a half before the game out) I was told that it was already sold out! I can understand that some people are mad that people have accesses but please, please try to understand that the alternative screw millions of fans! /endrant
What a lot of you fail to realize is that it we pay $60 or more for this game but it prob costs less then half that to actually make. They are making ungodly amounts of money off our -Yoinks!- already but why settle there when you can make more.
The ideals of making a great game and the whole game is gone. I personally love that they sell us 3 seperate map packs with 3 maps on each. halo 2’s map pack came with so many more and it was only $10. Just like the rest of the world its not about the customers satisfaction, its about $$$. BTW I also think its BULL that the people buying the regular game doesnt get so much of the armor and gets a level cap.
Large developers will eventually just drive low income gamers to other venues. There are many new Indie developers going the way of the free-to-play model on PC. They’ve managed to drive a wedge between players with more or less disposable income in the process while angering both groups in less than three weeks.
I have this nasty suspicion that the Map Packs will be required for Spartan Ops in season 2. I hope I am wrong.
