I have spend $0 since launch and plan on spending $0 for the rest of my time on Halo 5.
People complaining about microtransactions when they are not “pay to win” options, but merely cosmetic.
smh.
what’s next, people complaining certain weapon skins are ruining Halo’s image? o wait…

Who cares if they unlocked it first. You will always be able to say you did it legit, they’ll have to put up with that forever.
Because people get upset that they can’t get the power vehicle before someone else can, and they don’t wanna use the stuff they have to take them down.
I agree. I would never spend money on cosmetics. We can go back to the days where you can’t change it for all I care. Sure I like unlocking some armors and making myself look cool (to other people) but that’s secondary or even tertiary. I don’t play the game for armors and skins, I play to rape face and/or drink beer and hang out with my friends without having to leave my house hahaha.

I don’t play to obtain armor or skins. I play because the game is fun.
who gives a crap how the armor looks, I’m too busy poppin’ heads to check out someone’s armor.
There is nothing wrong with buying Reqs. some people have the funds, and don’t care. I have spent some dollars on things in the past, but I don’t think there is much benefit.
yeah I will probably buy the arena cosmetic req pack that’s gonna drop on valentines day, just like I did for the warzone pack at launch.
but I definitely am not buying any other req packs.

Well good thing everyone is not like you. Fun is subjective and people do enjoy the customization for their Spartan (limited, compared to previous games).

well when people play for “fun” by trying to farm RP instead of playing to win the game, that’s when it hurts the community.
I’ve played Warzone games where my team didn’t try because they said “who cares, we still get loads of RP”
and since then, I stopped playing Warzone…

Well that’s the only reason why I play Warzone. Not sure how it hurts the community at all, people play games for entertainment. I don’t care at all if my team wins or loses in Warzone. It’s a playlist where you can mess around in, since everything else except BTB, is ranked.

That’s fine if you’re having fun win or lose.
Personally, I prefer to win which is why I stay out of Warzone.
To each their own.
Yeah, it seems mad but from being an old school generation in game purchases always seem pointless, but it’s a way for developers to make more money back off us the consumer, every game does it now and it’s ridiculous. The main thing is that at least in Halo and Arena, it won’t have any bearing on you ability so I think they have the balance about right. I cite an example of Battlefield, where you can pay to unlock every gun and attachment, that ruins the game for me!

THIS
It’s just a game. Like, the fact that people let it bother them this much is laughable. Oh you have to pay money for things you want? Welcome to capitalism.

Becasue they use recycle maps and not ORIGINAL ones!!!
WE prefer pay for new ones!

It doesn’t give me anything to work towards. My REQ Points pretty much only let me play RNG lottery. Even if there was an armor set I thought was cool, it becomes a crapshoot. You can say, “Well who cares about armor I will only care if it became pay to win they could gut customization for all I care.” Well, that is what REQs would be if the customization elements were removed. Take out the armor options, emblems, and skins and what do you have? Weapons, vehicles, power-ups and boosts (all things that affect gameplay. Further, Gold Packs would instantly become to the best pack since it contains the better weapons, vehicles, etc. You’d still be left with grinding for the REQ Points or pay for the packs. Maybe it would only affect Warzone, but it is still a pretty precarious position.
