Why are Esports skins available to the public?

The second I saw Esports skins available I immediately bought Cloud 9 and Gen2’s skins, but didn’t think as to why they were letting normal players purchase the normally exclusive skins and tags. Why?

Same as why you can buy your favourite sports team shirts, to show support to who you like.

And to look shiny.

To show support for a team and look like a banana in matchmaking.

A lot of games do this, I think it’s cool.

Oooooh cross over idea.

Halo Infinate cross over with Sea of Thieves. Banana Cronch emblems, yellow with green highlights armour colour (not core locked), banana shaped shoulder guards, and animated visor colour that would be blue with white like waves on the sea.

:grinning:  :pirate_flag:

Isn’t it obvious? Money obviously.

At this rate I’m surprised they aren’t selling 343i emblems and such, but the answer to your question would be “money!”

Overwatch do the same this is not new to the genre supposedly it’s to “support” the teams…

What’s gatekeeping??

Oops sorry if it sounds that way. I was only wondering why. I’m sorry :joy:
