Why are Elites enemies again?

In some screenshots of Halo 4’s campaign you can see Chief fighting elites. I thought the elites joined the humans in Halo 3, What’s going on?
And Now Grunts have huge heads!

Cause they are -Yoinks!-.

Stranded Elites didn’t get the memo about the war.

  • Some just may not have agreed with the alliance.

Elites were out selling scout cookies… Suddenly the Wild UNSC appeared and stole them all. Jk

Truth is not ALL elites likes the idea of humans as allies, some are even still covenant loyalists. Read Halo: Glasslands for a bigger understanding.

I love having elites as allies but now i cant be one or play as them, Because they are enemies. :frowning:

In the novel Glass Lands, Oni was doing some shady things, so maybe Oci did some stupid things to screw the agreement.

Also, some if not most elites don’t like humans that much, and don’t agree to the treaty.

In Glasslands, in one of the many POVs, theres an Elite called Jul, who joins a religous group meant to assasinate Arby.

Blame Oni for screwing things up…epicly…

No…

Glasslands clearly showed that the “Alliance” was a temporary one and that a portion of the elites still believe in the covenant and that the humans should be wiped out.

It may be a rebel faction of Elites that doesn’t like the sound of a Human/Elite alliance and want to follow the “old ways.”

ah, bt your missing the point of Oni handing over weapons to the Servants of the Abiding truth. In which case likely to start a civil war goin on. All thanks to Oni 7_7;;;

I like to have many enemies, it gives me variety.

No one knows! The game’s not out til November.

The Elites and covenant forces in Halo 4 are pirates.
OR
They belong to a religious group, probaly the one in Glasslands
OR
The alliance was broken before Chief wakes up (I doubt it)

If humans are our enemies, why would our new friends not also have enemies that are of themselves?

We fought humans while fighting the Covenant, the Covenant fought Covenant while fighting the humans.

Just because the 2 main groups get along now, why would the other 2 follow suite? Their issues haven’t been dealt with yet.

You clearly didn’t read Glasslands as some elites still believe in the Great jorney and thing they should stick to the covenant ways. you do understand what you are saying when you state they would become pirates right? who would they rob, just the UNSC?

You do understand the covenant is a religious group right? The one in Glasslands just wants to attack the humans.

UM, You do know that there is no alliance in glasslands which takes place before the Voi memorial which halo 3 ends at.

Oh, that isn’t related to this ONI was giving them weapons to rise up and fight Thel. This is actually the covenant that chief wakes up to.

Because Elites are better as enemies. Allied Elites would have to be nerfed or occur in very small numbers. Though I’d like to see allied Elites anyway.

Just as long as the hitboxes aren’t big.

I always assumed it was because the Elites have been inside Requiem and were completely unaware of the loss & alliance with the humans.
