Honest question: how did the creators (both the forgers and the 343 mentors who approved the maps) overlook the fact that their spawns were worse than that which was accomplished 14 years ago? It can’t be argued, so please don’t try to say they’re not. I’d just like to know why they are.
Because they didn’t realize it would be bad, given they don’t have a bunch of play testers besides the Dev team which probably thought that they were fine.
Because 343i at this stage still do not know how to conduct proper playtests.
Just look at the Arena maps and see how bad some of the spawns and power weapon setups (e.g. Fuel Rod on Regret) were like.

This this this!
BTB spawn system is complete b/s, especially on Deadlock (standoff remake). I’ve never been shot in the back more than on that bloody map!

Simple answer - they dont know how to make maps according to sprint mechanics

I’m against sprint, but that is just a bad argument for why BTB spawns, and overall spawns, are bad.
When the spawn system itself can spawn you:
-In an enemy group
-In the middle of a gunfight
-Almost ontop of your previous body
-On ledges leading to death on maps with ledges
-Inside objects
-Completely different location than chosen (Assault)
It is in zero relation to any other mechanic in the game.
Yes OP, good question. I don’t think there’s an answer we can provide.
It awesome when I spawn and am instantly killed by someone! No not really, but it happens too often. The best one I had so far was I spawned instantly getting hit by a warthog and flew off the map. I have just gave up on caring because it has become a regular thing.

Literally none of this has happened to me. In any game mode
spawns are really really bad. Especially on “Recurve”.

-In an enemy group: Has happened frequently for me and my team in BTB. My nephew got killed first in one match and spawned with the enemy team as if he was their team mate.
-In the middle of a gunfight: Seen it happen in Arena and Swat
-Almost ontop of your previous body: Played 3 player SWAT FFA on Fathom, I got a double kill on one player because he spawned a few feet away from where I dropped him, and I was not far from melee range.
-On ledges: I’ve seen a few players fall of ledges after spawning, and I myself spawned once only to fall off a ledge.
-Inside objects: Some people have complained about spawning inside loose objects on the map
-Different location: This happens now and then in Assault. Choose one location, first objective for instance, then spawn at armory or Core.
It’s not impossible because it hasn’t happened to you.
I think the worst spawns are on basin. Backreaping lvl 100

I had a particularly poor spawning match in not-headlong last night which culminated spawning alone in the line of sight of 3 of the enemy team, whereupon more spawned to fight me. I got filled with so many bullets that my body probably should have contorted enough so that I could have kissed my -Yoink- goodbye.
