Seriously.
Every gameplay video I watch from a review site or what have you, I can’t enjoy the gameplay because I’m frustrated with something simple like the player not being able to turn the camera and move at the same time, or the player shooting at the feet of enemies, or using the Assault Rifle at long range.
I mean, I know I sound like a pretentious -Yoink- with this, but does anybody else feel the same way?
I’ve only watched 2 or 3 videos put out by websites because I can’t stand how horrendously they play the game.
Yeah, they really do suck XD. But then again, they don’t get much time to learn the controls or anything. They just get told by their bosses to go to some event and record some gameplay- even if it’s for a game theyve never touched.
I feel the same way! Such cringe like gameplay. Half of them don’t know where the jump button is either! Drives me nuts! lol

Yeah, but… it’s Halo…5.
I mean, it’s not like these games have been out for over a decade and remained largely the same, right?
Sorry for the sarcasm. It just makes me feel like I’m watching someone who’s never played a Halo game before. Or any FPS on a console for that matter. It’s one thing if you’re a PC FPS supremacist, but still. It looks like some of these people have never held a controller before.
They are bad, but I look at their gameplay and think what could I have done better in that scenario. So I enjoy it.

Yeah, but it’s to the point where I don’t even want to watch anymore gameplay because it ruins how excited I am about the game. I feel like if I watch too much of the people stumble through games it will lessen my desire to play the game.
So I avoid watching them. Isn’t that the opposite of the effect they’re supposed to have?
Yeah I also noticed that but some of them may have not made contact with Halo before, so I don’t blame them for the overall gameplay.
But I’ll have to admit I was like what the -yoink- when I saw two warzone gameplays with a guy running around with two AR’s trying to kill enemies and vehicles in far distance.
It’s not just Halo. Game journalists are often terrible at videogames in general.
Because their job isn’t just reviewing Halo. They have to review a vast number of different games from all different genres. It’s easy for us to be good at Halo when it’s all we play.
The term “gaming journalist” is slightly comical because, as you point out, these people are usually not very good gamers. What makes the expression truly ridiculous though is that they are almost universally bad journalists as well. Irony, huh?
Most game journalists are journalists first… gamers second.
Because those reviewers are mainly journalists. Monkeys sent out by the company and do not know how to play the game like IGN…
Glassed planets have bad reviewers.
And this is why I watch people like Greenskull lol
They’ve always been awful. I don’t understand why they’re so bad and it actually makes the game look bad and dull.
You’d expect someone with some familiarity with the game to be doing the reviewing so that they know what to look for in terms of what’s good or bad/ what works and what doesn’t.
How can you judge a game if you don’t know what you’re doing or if you aren’t intimately familiar with the game mechanics?
If you want some good game play I’d recommend Greenskull on ReadyupLive. He’s fairly entertaining and much better then all those journalists.
I don’t particularly agree but there was a Gamespot video a little while ago that was just…awful. It was if the player had never touched an FPS before.
If I was a reviewer, I could play every game they give me to an acceptable level to not make people want to vomit.
And give thought out and unbiased reviews.

Until you’re bribed, of course. Heyo! I’m only kidding. Those childish rumors sicken me.
