As per title.
I versed the same champion team…twice in a row in blitz. Ive only started playing blitz today (returning player to this game).
I stopped playing this game for this reason back in September (kept playing the top players in the world in 2v2…then 1v1…I was only diamond or plat 1 or 2…and I got sick of it).
Dont get me wrong, I am up for a challenge, I don’t quit these matches. We try our best and put up a decent fight… But this is too much.

For context:
First, i think it may be because I am playing from Australia, with a limited player pool. I think this may be the reason.
I returned to this game a few days ago, and been playing AI/unranked with my brother to get used to it (and figure out the balance after months of patches). So then we started to play blitz because Ive never played it before, it started out playing people way below our level, and now we got our 10 placement matches (we are both plat) we came up against the 2 same champion players twice in a row…We did our best, but obviously our 10-15 matches played in blitz is no match for them. I am no pro or anything, I am honestly average at this game, particularly blitz.
I dont like to complain about things. In fact, the game balance is quite good at the moment, I have no problems with it. However, this unfair skill matching system (it goes both ways, playing people way below or way above you) needs to be sorted out. Its been a problem for a long time.
It should take games played in that game mode in account to start with.
Perhaps because of a MMR reset? I don’t know it that happened in Blitz but it would explain it.
To be honest i wish i versed more onyx/champions since im in diamond at the start of this season and last season and all we verses were plats and golds meaning we gained 2-5% per match making it impossible last season to get to onyx or champion and this was worsened by losses where two players would be high ranked and one with a low rank or unranked since defeat made us lose 50-70% meaning we needed to win another 10 matches or so to counter the loss.

I have no idea, but after we lost a few then I switched to solo and lost more, it levelled out. I think its fine now, that Ive played more matches for the system to match it better.

Yes thats the opposite effect I referred to. That happened to me when i was last playing as well.

EDIT: One of them was the #1 blitz 1v1 champion rank…really? How the hell do I- someone who has played like 30 or so blitz matches, get matched with someone who is one of the best in the world at it?? Wtf?
I know this isn’t helpful but don’t waste your time on blitz. Not only were they more experienced at the game than you were but blitz isn’t a balanced gamemode. The more packs they opened the stronger their units are.

Yeh but it happens in every game mode.
So I prefer blitz because the matches are shorter so not much time is wasted playing a poorly matched game.
Im still versing multiple champion teams. This is so broke.
If blitzed wasn’t pay to win I’d try it
