Why am I struggling all of a sudden?

Before I get into this, let me say this. I am in no way shape or form, good at Halo. At best, I’m average. I am not saying I’m good at all. Okay, now onto the issue I’m having.

Recently, I’ve really been struggling in Reach, and I have no idea why. Normally, I’d at least go positive in 9 out of every 10 matches. Now I can’t go positive at all. it seems my DMR shots just won’t hit and it takes me forever to kill someone with it. I typically play Super Slayer, Arena, and ZB until it was removed. I tried playing Halo 3 to see I was having similar problems in other games, but I’ve been playing the way I normally do in Halo 3. It’s just Reach.

If you look at my game history, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Up until the last seven matches, I’ve been doing about as I normally do. Then all of a sudden, I start sucking.

It can’t be my connection because the network settings are all good, so what could it be?

I don’t know. I had a problem where my thumb was litterally tired after playing 36 hours straight but I just needed a break. All I can say is play a ton of Reach to get your accuracy back up. Good luck.

This is like a gamers form of “writers block”. It should go away after a little while  Try playing some fun gametypes like Grifball or Action Sack. It usually helps me

Hmm, never heard of Gamer’s block. Maybe that’s the case. I haven’t played Action Sack in a while so maybe I’ll give that a shot.

When I get this I play another game. It always helps. Usually when I’ve been playing reach for a long time I get bored of it or play sloppy.

If you play while exhausted, your skills are going to suffer for it. It’s not worth powering through and once you feel tired (and doing badly) just get off the xbox.

Of course, it could have been players with bad connections on the other team pulling host over you. You can have an amazing shot and have them eat like crazy due to latency.

I usually find playing another game or just simply turning off my 360 and having a little break helps if i go through a few games really bad or play something which is less stressful in reach.

Could be a number of things. 1 being tiredness so you’re reacting slower and it also could be your connection.
