Why am i so inconsistent?

There are games where im Hyper aware i know where everyone on the map most likely will be. I can see what my teammates are trying to do and i put myself in good positions to help and finish. Then there are the games were im lost all game. Its like im always in the wrong spot i keep getting caught in 2v1’s.
Its probably frustration with the game idk.

I don’t know why it’s happening to me as well.

  • Maybe it’s your mental mind feeling like it’s on top of the world then the feeling runs out the next match or something I dunno. - People you’re dealing with - Your internet or the game serversWell anyway, if you’re feeling way too frustrated, take a few hours break from the game and something else to fulfill your fun.

Yeah, its frustration. If it starts to happen, back off and do something else. Let your brain uncoil and settle.

I know I’m in trouble when my teammates run the opposite way I do.

For me just depends on my mood and how long iv been playing. Usually if I have a couple games go that way I’ll just try another time. I’m sure teammates will appreciate not having a potatoe on their team.

This is me also. One day I’m the best by far, the next day I’m droppin’ rank like you wouldn’t believe and am playing like I’m drunk-- tossing grenades so they fly back and hit me and -Yoink-. It’s embarrassing when you play with the people one day and you’re hot sh*t and the next day they play with you and they think you gave the controller to your four year old. hahahaha.

Halo is definitely a bit of a mental game.

If you want to be consistent, I would have to say that once you’re -5 to take a step back and try and stay in between your teammates. Play support and don’t do any unnecessary pushes…

I start missing shots i would hit too

Could be numerous things…
I’ve seen games where I’ve dominated, then games where I’m barely able to do anything…
I’ve noticed the game itself isn’t very balanced, spawns can be horrible for spawn trapping since I’ve seen teams get completely destroyed because there is little time to react from being spawned killed within seconds of spawning while Flinch/Twitch makes it nearly impossible to counter any attacks because if a team is doing bad…then it can be nearly impossible to counter multiply players spamming BR…regardless of the person’s skill.

Coffee and a -Yoink!- does me the world of good… breaks are needed

Yeah same problem here feel it has more to do with the game than with me though.

I ask myself that every day.

It’s all down to luck. It’s really that simple. A good game depends on if your in top form. Relaxed but also not tired. Your enemy also needs to be either worse or the same level as your experience capability. Any higher and the less in form you are the worse you play.

I’ve noticed that too. It seems like some games I’ll just continually spawn right in the middle of where all the other team is at. There have been times where none of us notice, and I’m just running with the other team, till that “Oh Sh*t” moment happens to one of us. These are the most frustrating games because then it’s like every time I spawn I’m getting shot at by 2-3 people at once. Pretty lousy odds. I also just figure, if I was better— I’d be cool enough to jump around and take every one out with head shots. lol.

It happens to us all. Don’t worry about it. I’ve seen you play before and you’re a good player. Don’t get too frustrated. Breaks really do help me for sure.

Maybe i need to do more octagons cus today i did like half an hour of octagon and i was doing well in Matchmaking.

Take it 1 kill at a time, if you shoot first and land your shot remind yourself to mellow out and finish.
Don’t shoot at anything you can’t kill, look for enemies caught transitioning in the open.
Don’t hang out in the middle of the map, use the outsides of the map.
When roaming about the map, try to anticipate where your enemy will be if they were to appear in front of you in that moment and keep you crosshairs where you expect them to be at head level.
Stop sprinting, walk around the map. not only Will you make less noise and be less visible on radar but you lose a second recovering from a sprint before you can shoot. And that second will always be an opportunity for the enemy to crank your skull.
Plug in your controller.
Turn off maintain sprint, auto stabilize and toggle crouch.
Don’t jump around in gunfight, it provides predictable flight paths and thus it’s easier to expect your movement. move side to side and toss in a crouch here or there in 1v1 encounters. If you must jump, do so with a thruster to burn as a defensive maneuver. (Ex. Jump left, thrust right)
Find a comfortable sensitivity you like and make marginal adjustments, it takes an average of 20 games to build muscle memory. Choose what makes you most accurate, if it feels slow and your landing headshots use it…if your sailing past their head 2/3/4 shots in, your sensitivity is to high.
No sense in being fast to the target of you cannot finish. Put more emphasis on your physical position on the map in relation to the target your about to engage. Try to think before you shoot, where you can bail out and find cover if things go south. This will keep you near cover more.
Don’t chase a kill, shoot and if they run away to cover let it go unless your absolutely sure you can win.
Put more focus on staying alive and less focus on getting the kill.

I’m not the best, I have played with some great players and most of them would agree and possibly add more.

And even if your doing everything right and your just getting beat on (which happens in halo), take a mental break…breathe, dont make playing a punishment.

Sounds like a slum, it happens…

Sadly due to flinch/twitch being about makes it extremely hard to counter because it’s near impossible in some situations since it forces the player to descope, making it extremely difficult to aim due to flinch. Not sure why 343i included this in H4,5 because it makes the game quite stressful in most game types.

I couldn’t tell you. But rest easy because this literally happens to everyone single living human in the world. Maybe one day I can figure the trick out then I’ll become godly at this game for once

I was always decent at warzone and big team battle, but now, it seems like I struggle to even get past 10 kills. It gets frustrating after awhile, one of the many reasons why I stopped playing a lot of halo 5.
