Why am I punished for bad teammates?

Why is it that I still lose CSR in matches where teammates leave. It makes so sense to be punished because you had a teammate leave. None at all.

Because if nothing happened then the system can be played. Go in with a full team if your going to lose have someone quit so the rest dont go down a rank.
And your playing a team playlist, play ffa if you dont want to worry about what your team does or play with a team of non randoms

Because the COMPANY you keep is crap (see what I did there?)

I know that pain…but at the same time it motivates me to become good enough to carry the team and still get the win. In slayer its more of an advantage to have less than a full team well only one missing teammate due to the fact that there are less targets for the enemy team. This is assuming you and your teammates are good enough. Now objectives you get screwed hard for losing teammates but thats the Halo life

I wish they had a system that would register disconnects and straight up quitting as something different. Make the quit ban tally reset daily. First offense = 10 minute ban. Second offense = 30 min ban. Third Offense = Come back and play tomorrow. Literally no one would be quitting games. If you have to get up for an emergency then luckily you can play again in 10 minutes. I have yet to play a BTB game without multiple quitters. I mean really do you have to ruin 20 games before you get a 7 minute ban? Who the hell cares??

I have sympathy for disconnects though.

I would play FFA except for the fact that 8 player FFA doesn’t work at all and it’s just a spawn kill fest

What 343 did with Halo 5 is put a large emphasis on teamwork. It’s a lot harder to be the “lone wolf, carry the team” type player. The downside to this is if you get players who don’t work as a team and just run off and die and go 2 kills, 18 deaths, you’re going to lose. Rank is based on teamwork and wins, not individual skill. Not saying I particularly agree with that framework, but that’s how it works in Halo 5.
