After a little time off, I jumped on today. Was getting latency through the roof. People were speaking Spanish. Finally talked to someone who knew a little English who said he lived in Columbia. I was locked on servers with Spanish speaking people most of the day while search settings were set to focused. I live in Greater Detroit area.
Even back when there was region lock, I used to be locked into Dallas servers. Now I’m convinced that somehow 343 is reading me in Detroit as a resident of Texas. This is why I’m being put further south into South America (as I understand it’s what happens if you live on the Southern border of the US).
Is this an issue with 343 having jacked up coding is it something to do with Comast? I haven’t had this issue when playing on an ATT DSL connection at another house.
Hoping this is a glitch with the last update that can be fixed or Halo 5 is unplayable from here on out.
