I’ve been inactive on Halo 5 for about a year and a half, I checked my service record for it just recently. My k.d is terrible, then Halo Reach. my K.D is good on there, Halo MCC K.D wasn’t that bad. So what’s up with halo 5 that made me terrible on there?
halo 5 was a trial run of many new functions that may not make it into H6 but mostly the huge amount of weapons and the fact that you have equal start(usually AR and Magnum) so i would not be surprised because unlike the previous halo’s in recent years there is no loadouts unless you are playing in warzone. this requires you to outthink outmaneuver and outsmart your opponents instead of like some games having your best weapons at the start.
Probably just how you approach the game. Some people handle the slower pace better than others.
The gameplay between Halo Reach and Halo 5 feels pretty different, everything from everyone having the same weapons and abilities, to the new scoping system, to the pace at which the game goes. I’m terrible at Reach and not that bad at Halo 5, so I think it’s this difference between gameplay to blame.
You consider Reach classic Halo? What?
An obvious difference would be to just look at the controller. Reach had abilities, but you could only pick one per life and now we have numerous abilities that you have to navigate at any given time which can make things more difficult. It’s also faster paced and the older games were mainly social so the skill gap was all over the place.
Because classic Halo isn’t as poorly designed as Halo 5. Well, Reach on the other hand…
I’m sure there are many factors, but my two that I notice is the increased speed and more gimmicks. Halo 5 feels the closest to a twitch shooter unlike any previous title.
