I mean I just don’t get it I’ve seen the trailers and I think he’s a badass charecter… In halo nightfall he was the good guy he wasn’t a jerk… Am I the only one that’s wants to see Locke kick some serious butt…
It’s because he’s hunting Chief. Anyways for me, I like his armor but I don’t know enough about him to say whether or not I like or dislike him. I will wait until I play Halo 5.
Like SpiderMan said, it’s mostly because he is hunting Chief. We all have a connection with Chief, we’ve been with him since the beginning and the thought of a new Spartan (Locke) just coming in and being able to capture Chief really bothers some people. We do know what Chief is capable of after all.
For me i don’t like how this new character came out of basically nowhere and he’s all the sudden as much as a badass as chief. I just don’t like that
New things and new people are scary I guess? I don’t have any hate for him and think he seems like he will be an interesting character with a lot of room for character development and I would bet that by the end of Halo 5 more people really like him.

As long as it’s not Cheif’s butt he will be liked
I agree with KinDaKota. People are afraid of new things and new people. and as he said. I think once Locke’s personality is explored a bit more, people will grow to like him.
I personally like Locke, but the way he thinks he can take down Chief; NO WAY!
If/when he stops hunting Chief, he will probably be more of a likable character.

I guess that’s also my only problem with Locke. With no exposition, just BAM! Brand new badass completely a perfect opponent for Chief.
I don’t like it either. But at least they aren’t leaving all the badassery only to Locke. I mean, Buck is kinda a boss
People are still getting over armor lock.
The fact that the one mission we have seen him attempt he could not complete with out a former Spartan 2 , and now he is considered on par with Chief? -Yoink-.

except he isnt lol, chief will kick his sorry -Yoink-. Spartan 2s are the genetic ELITE of the human race, the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE! He he literally 1 in 10 billion. Locke is just some kid that knows his way around a gun, who got some augs and some nice armor. There is no competition and if 343 makes him a match for MC in the game i will lose all respect for their writers.
Because his intentions are to hunt down our daddy and maybe hurt him. We won’t accept fools who may want to hurt our daddy.
Well, I kinda have negative feelings towards Locke because he seems like he’s gonna be the new face of Halo. I’ve been recognizing Master Chief as the face of Halo since CE. When you take him away as the face of the franchise it’s almost like they’re taking my heart away from my chest. Still, I’m keeping an open mind about this I guess.

I am all for Locke, however, if he kills Chief, I will cry for days. If they teamed up… AWWWWW MATE!
As soon as the chips were down, his men betrayed him. Not exactly an inspirational leader now is he?
I don’t think most people hate him. They just prefer The Master Chief. I personally like what I have seen of Locke. I just prefer Chief. Also I think some people are concerned he may take over for the Master Chief. Which I think most will agree is not Ideal.
