Why all the hate on 343?

Can someone tell me why so many people hate on 343? They say that halo was bungie’s thing, that 343 can’t do halo like bungie could…Etc. But from what I’ve read, 343 IS practically bungie, because a bunch of people from bungie are in 343. not only that, its starting to look like a video game “dream team”, because developers from around the industry are leaving higher paying jobs just to go work on the halo series.

So, why the hate?

-edit-
Ok I know 343 isn’t comprised of all bungie members. but last I heard/read was that over 50 former bungie members were in 343. I’ve gotten comments saying there are only 2, less than 5, and 12 members from bungie.

Also, 343 hasn’t made that many bad changes. the only bad ones I’ve seen was kill cam (please be custom games only). not only that, but they brought back the halo jump, whose removal from the halo series in reach ticked me and a lot of other fans off, since it gave too much power to explosive weapons

And for you haters out there: when I went to PAX west I could not even REGISTER to play Halo 4 they were completely booked for the whole weekend so I don’t think your opinion is the majority’s

Like I said in another thread like this…

Welcome to the internet, sweetheart.

Because the amount of unnecessary changes being made to it.

The amount of Bungie employees working at 343 Industries can be counted on one hand.

And for the record, I dislike Bungie. Halo CE and Halo 2 were accidents on their part.

uuuuh, on the article I read in GI it said there were over 50 members from bungie in 343…

Highlighted section is wrong, only 2 people at 343i worked at Bungie.

Also 343i has not really innovated Halo, they just took concepts and things from shooters like cod and messed with them to change the Halo formula.

So another case of hating just for kicks? lol

was there a mass exodus of 343 I didnt read about? because when the halo 4 announcement (as in announcing they were making it) article came out it said there was over 50 former members of bungie in 343

The ol saying “Haterz gonna hate.” Just deal with it… it’s nothing new or surprising.

why?

I was just trying to determine if there was reasoning behind it, from what I’ve read, there either was a mass exodus of bungie staff from 343 or people are just being haters

Ignore him hes just trolling. if he didn’t like bungie he wouldn’t be on a halo site

well seing as about 12 bungie employees moved form bungie to 343 i wouldn’t state that all 343 is composed of bungie employees. This # was also confirmed from a bungie employee in a recent 343 community play date.

as for love/hate? thats normal for halo…you either love it or hate things being done to it, complain about it but play it anyway

Bungie was good. 343 is great. Bungie’s last video basically condemned the fact that they worked on halo for so long. They wanted to do something else. 343 is here to bring us what would have been neglected by bungie if they continued. Not that they aren’t great. The community they created was awesome while it was thriving; now they are creating some new hush hush game. I say good for them and good for 343. Don’t hate, just appreciate.

I think that it was great for bungie to come out and say that they had nothing left to offer the series. From what I’ve gathered, 343 is filled with people, both from bungie and other game studios, that want to work on halo. Which is a great goal is it not?

I’m not getting this either. People are flaming it even though they have NEVER played it, and claiming that it doesn’t play or feel like Halo. These people are passionate about Halo. I guarentee you that if it did feel or play like Halo, it WOULD NOT be shipping out this year.

No I’m not, I’m being honest. I dislike Bungie, but I enjoyed Halo CE and Halo 2. Why would a Halo fan not be on a Halo site?

> [why?

Because the 3-shot kill Pistol that made Halo multiplayer so great was an accident. Much of what made Halo 2 were the button glitches that absolutely made the skill gap skyrocket. As Halo progressed, killtimes got longer, the games became more random, and Armor Lock was added in. Reach was the game Bungie always wanted to make, and it was pretty terrible imo.

It’s not “hate”. It’s people who are passionate about something that they love (Halo), expressing their concerns. Some of the things they are putting in are questionable, and some people are just worrisome that we might end up with another Reach.

The last thing I want.

Nah, this is just the warm up. The true hate for Halo 4 will spill forth on November 6 and 7th.

Good luck Mods.

P.s. The true Love for Halo 4 will also show up those days in force.
