So, here are some reasons I personally don’t find AC to be overpowered, at least of you take into account other AAs.
-
The “jam” effect. More like the “give away my position to anyone with eyeballs” effect. Not onyl does it tell you where they are, regardless of if they move, but it prepares you. You know someone is gonna be in that room using AC. Your not good at countering AC? Great. Go the other way around. Basically, AC is pretty much strapping a target on your location, or screaming to the world your here, and your slightly invisible.
-
Restricts movement. AC requires slow movement, most of the time in the form of a crouch, to be really that useful. Plus, slower moment makes the AA bar drain slower. So, it’s safe to say AC users tend to move slowly, or camp. This makes them a huge detriment to their team. This especially applies in most objectives. Not being able to move quickly, or being unwilling, is just gonna make your finish the game with less kills, assuming its a kill based game, or less help with the objective most of the time.
-
Easily disrupted. AC is great for remaining unseen to a person that doesn’t look at the motion sensor…until you do anything…or get hit by anything…or so much as twitch your finger too fast…
-
Noise dampening. This is probably the least detrimental effect, but basically what this does is makes you unable to even know if someone is right friggen behind you. You just can’t tell.
In fact, AC is really just a big head ache if your think about it. All it does is requires you to SEVERLY restrict your play style to use it effectively, like no other AA. Sure HL should makes you move slower, but it also makes you impervious to all damage directly from the front, and give you a TP perspective. Plus, you can still play aggressively with HL shield.
And sure PV outs you on the radar, but it also doesn’t restrict your movement, and it gives you valuable info on enemies.
In short, I really don’t see AC as a OP AA. I see it as a free kill.
