> One of the first games of the day, Speedpile on Hemmorrage, seems like it would be fun right? Well I checked out the K/D’s of the other team, all 3.0’s who were apparenly using the playlist as ‘warm up’. I don’t see how beating up on one person who was helpless against them in the canyon with all of it’s weapons and vehicles could serve as ‘warm up’.

> A game or two later, Team Hotshot, on Asylum. I know I keep saying it’s the most one sided gametype ever, but it takes it to a whole new level when you actually play it. My team of course never had a chance with one person camping sniper tower, armor locking, and body shotting everyone and only ever died once.
Unfortunately, people will ‘exploit’ these objective based game types. Unlike Slayer, it is a lot easier to rack up a lot of kills, however there are no rules stating that you HAVE to play objectively. People have different play styles. If its classed as ‘exploits’, then maybe rules introduced. Removing the playlist altogether wont stop people boosting their KDR up, they’ll find another playlist in which they can do so - Grifball for example, depending on your team, you could easily reach +50 in a game, if not more.
Grifball is even more exploitable than Action Sack, especially since the added credit bonus for winning. All you’d need to do is sign into live, with 3 +1’s (with a friend doing the same) and enter a game, you kill your friends +3 and they do the same to yours - after five 3 minute rounds, you could have 200 kills or more… And if you actually scored the bomb and won, you could enjoy a nice bonus to your credits too, and yet its still there.
> One more game later, Shotgun Assault. It’s like Hockey, plain and simple, it’s nearly impossible to score. We were lucky to score even one goal the entire game. Then again, that was very early in the game, needless to say the rest of the game was a complete stalemate.
I’m sorry, but i cant agree with this. Shotgun Assault actually takes team work, unlike hockey, where its ‘spray and pray’ with a gravity hammer or assault rifle. Shotgun assault is more team work based. If you don’t work as a team, and try and score the ball alone, 99.9% of the time, you’ll be killed instantly.
This is quite annoying to be honest. Halo Reach has always had a few good playlists, outside of the expected playlists (Slayer, BTB, Objective, Invasion and SWAT), but now that some of the best playlists have been removed (Action Sack & FF Doubles). Instead of removing good playlists with a few game types that need a bit of tweaking, edit the game types\map variants to be less ‘exploitable’.
> It is really disappointing. I never played action sack too much, but when i did, me and my friends always had a good time while playing it. WE enjoyed the game mode where you could more or less “relax” and not focus on killing people all the time. It was a fun game mode, hopefully they have something like it in Halo 4.
