This is not another “Hate Halo 4” thread, but doesn’t anyone remember the interview with someone from Bungie asking why AA’s weren’t in the other Halo’s? If I recall correctly they said it was because they were all destroyed on Reach. Well wouldn’t it make it canonically incorrect to bring them back in H4? I would’ve much rather had equipment back In my opinion. What is every ones thoughts on this? Please, let’s have a mature discussion for once.
You can talk opinions all you want. Bottom line, AAs ruin the way the game flows. Anyone who actually understands Halo knows that.
Having them on the map would make the game so much better.
To this day I feel Armor Abilities should have been a pick up, some game matches are an absolute mess, ever played Infinity Slayer lately?
AA’s should be a map pickup. If custom loadouts are in Halo 5 then replace AA’s with Equipment. Less powerful, a single use, but still effective in their own right.
AA’s however, can remain in the campaign as far as I’m concerned.

Did you even read the thread? That’s not the point.

No, they’re just mad.
I think this is the first real pause, or time of peace that humanity has found. Not to mention with the creation of the Spartan IV program I can see why the UNSC would research AAs again and re-create them.
Came here to say ‘Halo 4 is how it is, deal with it’, as I do in most Anti-Halo 4 threads.
Then I read your post and realise it wasn’t that sort of thread.
Maybe this is why the Spartan IV’s were so amazed at the active camo in SO.
Who knows, maybe the UNSC finally managed to get them recreated. It has been 4 years since 3, after all.

Yeah, I don’t like AA’s and the 343 Defense Force loves to tell me that I hate change. But how can that be true if I had no problem whatsoever with equipment?
In Reach AA’s mutated the goldne triangle into a silver square. I still played the game thinking that Halo would return to it’s roots in Halo 4. Then I experienced the bronze octagon 343 thought was a good idea (AA’s, perks, ord drops, custom loadouts, etc…). I just can’t play it. I still come here during slow days at work. It’s comforting to know other people feel the same way.
im done with halo… i shouldnt even be callin this game halo…
you can fly, turn invisible, see through walls, earn scorestreaks (random ones at that), reload faster, carry two primary rifles, do more grenade damage, carry more grenades, grenade indicater, no ammo or powerups on the map, you can spawn with a shotgun, you can spawn with anything for that matter, you cant get knocked out of scope, you can instant spawn and finish the person that just killed you, no map control (cause it doesnt matter)
^none of that stuff was in any previous halo, so please tell me how this game is halo other than having giant spartans in armor…
this is a completely different game with “Halo” on the cover

Will you stay on topic? It’s a thread about the universe, not multi player. Jeeze.

You can also rub the magic lamp and get a power weapon right at your feet, I agree with you buddy.

It is not entirely unlikely that Armor Abilities would not make an eventual comeback from a story standpoint.
I mean, the technology could have been lost on Reach, or at least mothballed during the remainder of the Human-Covenant war. These add-ons were probably expensive to make on a large scale. But with the armors now being constructed by various contractors (all underbidding each other for a contract), the tech may have been eventually revisited. This is probably how we justify why the Halo 4 abilities are not the same as those in Reach (notably the jetpack and truster pack). Basically it’s some armor engineer’s current take on those old armor ability designs.
=d

No. We want to talk about this more. You clearly just hate change.

Obviously. I just wanna talk about the storyline and these competitive jerks just come here and change topics D:
Most of the AAs are just taken from Covies and the Prometheans anyway.
We have like 2? Thruster Pack and Jetpack? Covies have used those before too, actually.

Isn’t Regen field ours too?

CE-3 were still times of war. Halo 4 is 4 years after the war. Humanity has made some recovery.

Probably. Seems like a Promethean thing though. Didn’t Brutes use regens in Halo 3?
We had the regen field in Halo 3 as equipment, 4 years to turn it into an AA seems reasonable.
False. Regenfield, Thruster, Jetpack, and hologram are UNSC. Hardlight shield and Auto Sentry are Promethean and Active Camo is Covenant.

Even if all of the armor ability equipment were destroyed on Reach, blueprints and schematics would be stored on servers on other planets and even ships to allow them to be made agaun.
Because “they were all destroyed” is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard, and I have never read Bungie saying this.
