Why a ping feature but no comm wheel?

allow a comm wheel to display when holding the ping button to issue commands like in battlefield and apex

idk about that lvl of comms but i would be nice to say enemy here or special weapon here instead of just marking.

The controller is already pretty full.

i just saying that double clicking the mark button should indicate danger or enemy close by. like apex

I feel like a comm wheel is just overcomplicating a tool that is meant to be simple to use.

A new player can just tap mark and get information across easily without having to make decisions on what to call out or choose the wrong call-out . The game does it for you, making the process smoother.

Marking is contextual too. If you mark a enemy it’ll tell you how many are there and where they’re located.

If you mark a weapon it’ll tell you what weapon and where it is located.

If you’re driving a vehicle and have empty seats pressing mark will alert your teammates about the vacant seats in your current vehicle.

Honestly I think the mark tool is way better than the comm wheel from other games. This is just easy, I press it and convey the relevant information.
For the general audience this mark tool is a better option.

If you wish to communicate in more detail to your team you may use voice chat or the in game text chat.

The ping tool is simple and elegant. I don’t mind a comm wheel be added so long as it doesn’t change the current ping functionality.

This feature has been assigned to Honk (RT) already in Tech Preview.

Something along the lines of “thank you”, “sorry”, “need backup” and “move up” would be nice. They could simply do the “hold ping to get the wheel then use the stick to select the right one and let go” model and add some tactical lines. Goes a long way in other games calling for medic and such.
