Yeah the prices are insane, especially when you consider that because of the blindingly bright outlines and shields, everyone looks the same. Unless you’re one of those people who gets great satisfaction watching yourself doing the opening punch the air knuckle crack scene. Cosmetics aren’t content, especially in a first person shooter. I miss the days where an armor piece was earned and worn to prove your accomplishment. All cosmetics do now is point out who the suckers are.

That’s really what $7 for one helmet feels like.
Anyone remember when they sold 9 helmets for $10 in Halo 5? I mean, in hindsight either that was a $63 value for $10, or you’re right, and they are giving us the finger.
Helmets are useless and won’t impact your gameplay experience in any way. This game is free, no need to waste money on things that won’t enrich anyone’s gaming experience.
The better question is why anyone assumed pulling a single piece out of bundles that were $10-$20 a pop would make the main piece of those bundles significantly cheaper?
Also, stop comparing cosmetic transactions from a game that had a price tag to cosmetic transactions in an FTP game. Not only is it an apples to oranges comparison but you’re literally advocating for a game that cost $60 (or whatever it was) which then sold you additional cosmetic content.
This argument has been tired to death man. Try another approach that makes actual sense. If we had customs, custom games browser, ranked snipers, ranked dubs, ranked slayer, forge, campaign playlists, campaign scoring, firefight, forge, a challenge system that tracked, daily login bonuses for us premium battlepass have already reached 100, proper servers, no desync, cross core coatings and a SLEW of other game types and modes…then sure. At this stage the STORE is the ONLY THING that NEVER HAS A PROBLEM.

Yea like of they had a firefight mode esk thing maybe, or like a campaign DLC warzone thing that had cutscenes with your Spartan like they did on reach, the cosmetics are rather bland… I only bought the bundle with the Glowing blue Visor so I can have that Spartan Lock kinda look.
You know After playing the campaign… I really couldn’t see how a simple Co Op wasn’t put in… It kinda feels like we are playing the same build the Devs played when testing … and like a beta
I’m just trying to inject common sense into this thread. Nothing anyone whiffs money on in the store will affect whatever game they happen to be in. It’s all useless. Anyone unhappy with this(from what I have seen on these forums) awful game can simply go back to the MCC and have a far better experience.

It’s pretty normal for people to mix up a need and a want in this day and age. If it isn’t needed to survive it’s always a want lol.
I do feel $5 is better, but ultimately the price of an item is whatever 343i wants it to be. At best, we can try to negotiate lower prices. But they have the right to ignore those requests and price them however they see fit.
The irony is that helmets are needed to safely survive a motorcycle crash.

Yes, and we have the right to not give them money. Supply and demand is a two way street. Honestly though, I think with this that even if it were a little cheaper I still would think it overpriced. I’m not even saying I’d buy it if they lowered it a little. I’m just surprised by the greed. It’s ridiculous to think one helmet is worth $7 when in the last game they made they charged us $10 for 9 helmets.
