Just why?
I can get 9 helmets for $10 on Halo 5.

I know we’re getting the option to earn credits in season 2, but there’s no need for this kind of crap.

Because people will pay it.
I agree I’m tired of the prices taking the cake each week tbh it don’t feel like a improvement just more ways to annoy people in different formats…
Because Capitalism.
Because Servers cost money
I’m not saying they shouldn’t be making any money at all. I’m just surprised we need to pay $7 for a single helmet.
Besides, it’s not like they haven’t been making sales beforehand.
200 Credits at most for a single item. Anything over that is a rip off.
Your definition of “need” must be different than mine. We need food, shelter, and clothing… not pixels in a video game that will eventually expire.
… Now If you “want” the helmet. The price is $7… take it or leave it. Speak with your wallet. Supply and demand will work the rest out… not forum/reddit rants.
“Hello, I like money!”
Value is subjective - the “why” is different for each person - there is no objective standard for how much store items “should” cost.
It’s not complicated.
other games
or games that run servers just fine (not that 343s are running fine regardless) without microtransactioning the christ out of their customization system.
Irrelevant. Halo is not “other games.” Pricing for one game (ie Candy Crush) has no relation to Halo Infinite.
Reminder folks this just testing the ability to do this I’m sure the price part will be dealt with sometime soon
For now this is just trying the individual purchases yo get it in the system so the idea we want can be done done the line
the standards there, you’re ignoring it cause halo?
but when it’s positive about halo infinite you’re “but other triple A companies-”
How’s that going to solve anything? Halo Infinite has millions of players and I’m just one person. Are you suggesting that it’s appropriate to tell those millions what to do with with their cash? “Their” cash?
The point I’m trying to make here is, $7 is too high. I’m not saying I’m forced to buy it or anything like that. I’m saying, I want a fair trade.
Not entirely sure what you are getting at… you seem confused.
There is no “standard” (yet). Infinite is a new game, with a new pricing model. Over time, prices/items will be adjusted, based on Halo Infinite Store data - specific to Halo Infinite customers, unique to what Infinite has to offer.
I know, I just think it’s disingenuous to not be able to compare this game to it’s peers.
“Tighter budgets, less time, and more content” seems to be my mantra when comparing any game to halo infinite atm.
Bro, don’t even start with this nonsense. You know full well that $7 is steep for a single item.
Bro…
If $7 is too expensive, people won’t buy it. If $7 is a good price point, people will buy it. It’s that simple. Your opinion of what “should” happen is irrelevant.
I don’t think demand is that high that tons of people will pay $7 for one helmet.
And before you say that they have data analysists. I’m sure they do, but they can’t analyze data they do not have. And they haven’t tried selling an individual item before. I doubt it’s going to work out as well as they hope.
