“Thank you for your feedback and interest in Sandboxr’s release of 3D printed Gods from Smite. There has been a lot of discussion regarding the new Sandboxr “Smart-Bond”, which makes the 3D prints much stronger. While I will agree with a lot of your comments below, the gloss doesn’t photograph well, the feedback that we have received from those who purchased and tested the prints was overwhelmingly positive and that the strength, color, and overall perceived value of the collectible is far superior otherwise. “Sandstone” is the only real full color option with 3D printing, and it is very brittle, so the protective layer helps to preserve the quality of the product. We will look into updating our offering to allow you to chose this as an option in the near future, instead of it being default. In the meantime, I invite you to visit the platform at sandboxr.com, even if you don’t make a purchase, its fun and innovative to customize and scrub through real game animations and look through the different God options.
