That’s right. The only problem, but that was one with all other halos, is that people are quitting games, and sometimes the matches are utterly unbalanced. I love the way the halo is going, and I love the way 343i made the warzone, it’s legitimately amazing.
The people that moan about the story, haven’t you realised that 343i actually made the same scheme as bungie did to their halo trilogy?
Halo 1 / Halo 4 = Covenant are your old enemies, Forerunner mysteries and new threat (Flood/Prometheans)
Halo 2/ Halo 5 = Covenant has problems inside (Great Schism/Battle of Sanghelios), 2 characters to play, nothing is actually explained because the middle-trilogy games suffer from uncompleted story, and basically a one big cliffhanger.
So I don’t understand why people are so hateful to the story. And I admitted, I was kinda dissapointed at the end myself, but then I realised that it’s unfortunately the problem of middle-trilogy games.
I was trying to be optimistic after the MCC. But then I got Halo 5. I saw the true story of the game and noticed the lack of maps, modes, and playlists. Then the server issues began. Nope.

Not this bad. Halo 2 and 3 forums were 99% positivity, with the occasional well-thought out complaint.
Reach had many complaints, but they were also valid complaints. Bungie changed a lot, BUT what people don’t realize, is that Reach was a spin-off, and they wanted to experiment with different ideas.
Halo 4 and 5 have definitely the most negativity towards them in the community. Halo Reach wasn’t this bad.

Those are some good comparisons. If that’s true, then I suppose Halo 6 will be a big “finish the fight” ordeal, though on a much more human level.
k 343 along with Spark, GearBox, and Bungie Created Halo CE. after that Bungie took it and ran with it 343, Spark, GearBox where as to my knowledge didn’t have anything to do with 2 and 3 they had some presence in Halo Reach.
look the community maybe divided but least it’s not at war. Yes Halo 5 is awesome and Yes there is flaws.
I do agree with your post and you hit the nail on the head. But unfortunately one post isn’t going to make a difference and not everyone’s going to agree.
But that doesn’t mean any of those games didn’t have flaws, same case with halo 5 it has flaws but a lot of it can be fix. Despite the disappointment with the story portion of the campaign. (they need a new writer) Halo 5 is a great game, it takes the number 3 spot for me.
To be honest Reach, H4 and H5 fans don’t need to commentate on Halo 2 and 3. You guys don’t understand those games, you didn’t play them and you’ve made it impossible for us fans to enjoy classic Halo. So why don’t you just stick your comparisons to H4 and Reach because thats what H5 resembles.

Not only is none of this remotely true but it’s so misinformed it’s shocking. Bungie worked on Halo 1, 2, 3 alone. Gearbox might have ported the PC version. 343 wasn’t formed until Halo4. Honestly people should really not post information that has no resemblance to any reality.

The year is 2015. The post-casual apocalypse has left mainstream gaming a barren wasteland. Folks just try to get in this harsh environment of toxicity and vile. In the darkness a few shadowy groups of developers try to rebuild all that we’ve lost. Meanwhile, supernatural beings called the moderators keep a silent watch over the glowing embers.
He calls CoD a pseudo-RPG because player customization is at the center of the multiplayer experience. Odd choice of words I know.

Maybe not the best description, but I’m saying that those sorts of RPG elements are very popular in shooters nowadays, without actually being an RPG, of course.
Pretty accurate assessment that the OP stated for most part.
I’m enjoying the challenge of Halo 5’s depth for sure. Others just don’t want to learn the new dynamics and map depth. But I will say that Halo 2 and Halo 3 was not very balanced in its default game modes (H3 was slightly better but sacrificed consistency). I think the game is different what fans are used to because of the better starting weapons and balance; it’s less of rock paper scissors and more about skill, which as a result we are seeing harder more HCE-esque gameplay).
The competitive side is much more intense, some say chaotic, and makes H3 competition looks as slow as a Snail.
If they teamed up with certain affinity for some maps that would be fantastic, want to know why all this content is free, its because they are planning on using forge maps instead of base/ DLC maps like previous titles. granted I don’t dislike forge maps it’s just I don’t like seeing them become common in rotation. there is just a certain beauty when it comes to base/dlc maps that the resides in the attention to detail.

Who is to say that fans of the newer gen games don’t understand the classic games. Your insulting others based on your own extremely narrow view of what Halo and a Halo Fan is. You and your comment have no place here.

That’s an extremely ignorant statement and completely wrong for me. I really enjoy Halo 5, yet I played the old games like crazy. For the longest time Halo 3 was my favourite game ever.

I’m the one that’s ignorant? really? ok “King Audio” it doesn’t -Yoinking!- matter cause like accounting if it touches Halo then it’s been used and therefor was a help in the making dip -Yoink-. please watch the Docs about the creation of the Halo Series. because I don’t need some 13 year old kid talking down to me.
First off Bungie incorporated the names of other companies as a thank you or as a tribute to those who helped make the game. oh please do your research kids before you shoot your -Yoinking!- mouths off. and don’t think your superior because you’ll never know who is behind a Gamer Tag. 343 was just a small company just like the others Bungie was the ones first put up to make Halo and 343 was small most likely a concept of the founders and or creators of the Company. regardless Bungie placed in 343 Guilty Spark as a Character as a thank you or a tribute to those that helped them. “Thanks guys for helping us with our first AAA game, we wouldn’t have made it with out you” and when Microsoft started putting the gears to Bungie to hurry up because they wanted their own exclusive for when the original Xbox release…so Bungie just starting off at the time had allowed or something (I don’t know the exact -Yoinking!- details) and bungie was getting the news very last minute, anyhoo dip -Yoink-.

> Halo 5 brought back equal starts, a very necessary thing that, in my opinion, was the biggest priority in fixing Halo 4. The weapons sandbox is much more effective now, rather than being a one gun game. I can’t say that I like all the things that are in the game still, but Halo 5, in terms of gameplay, is leaps and bounds more exciting and entertaining than Infinity Slayer, flinch mechanics, and random weapon starts.
>
> Good post, OP.
Oh my god, this. There are some honest gripes to be had with the game and debate points, but please can we all be on the same page that being back to equal starts nad having static weapon spawns was a really great move.

You know, it wouldn’t be the worst idea if they had another team working on classic oriented Halo games as an alternative to the main series. I’m sure the market would support it if it was strategically done.
