Why 343i should care more about other Halo players

343i, you need to begin acknowledging the other groups of players in Halo who just want to do things like play together on the couch, as well as creating content for viewers. I may not be a Youtuber, but I understand that people also need to be able to create content to draw attention to the many issues with Halo 5. But that’s sometimes not possible because Halo 5’s theater is utterly broken, and especially since you can only access it if you have good network connection, which only makes it harder to create content for precious viewers. It also took them a little more than a year to include fan-favorites such as oddball, one of my all time favorite halo playlists. I just hope that 343 is able to care the many other groups of people within Halo’s fanbase.

Isn’t that why we use the DVR to produce this content? I’m not saying we should compromise, but those who are not trying to make complex or advanced videos (like Youtubers), would not need to use every feature of Theater, and the DVR handles things even faster than a working Theater.

And if one is only here to draw attention to the issues with Halo 5, then they should be using the DVR anyway, since Theater only records in game stuff, and many problems can happen…outside of the match.

I’m just saying that certain people may need to get angles for videos, and the only way to do that is probably with the theater mode. I’m saying people may want to mainly clips from in game to show it off as an issue that both the community and 343 can fix.

I hate to break it to you but it’s nearly impossible for 343i to please everyone.

Anyways, you do bring up a good point. Removing Split-Screen really did upset the older generations of Halo players (including myself) and hurt “Couch Gaming” in general. I’m positive that 343i will try their best to please as many fans as they can, due to severe fan backlash and the fact that we need to be more connected so that we can “Make Halo Great Again”. We can’t just rely on 343i to do all the work, we need to chip in as well and work with them.

Speaking of helping other groups of players, I’d like for 343i to focus a little more on the people who like to customize their appearance. I’m a big fan of armor customization and playable Elites and when one was significantly downgraded and the other was completely taken out, I was pretty disappointed (as were thousands of other fans). Even something as basic as Halo 3’s armor customization would suffice: Helmet, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder, % Chest. (Although, I’d still prefer the way Reach had it…and the way they implemented playable Elites, of course.).

Unfortunately I bet they never fix theater. They never even have addressed it to my knowledge. Sadly the best way to get a video is to use the Xbox record feature, double tap the home button followed by x, or say Xbox record that if you have kinetic. I also use upload theater app to make clips sometimes. But since we are talking about theater… 343 says their theater is legit

Those are some really good points you made, and I understand that 343 can’t please everyone, but if it takes them a year to implement these successful formulas into their game, something that they and Bungie could do on DAY ONE before, I’m kind of worried about having to wait like a year for these to get added in the future. And if the fans are able to create certain things to benefit their own gameplay, then 343, a group of talented game developers, should be able to do that too. And I strongly agree that we should work together to make a better Halo 5.

Sadly, I also believe that they will never be able to get around to fixing Halo 5’s broken theater.
