Uh, Jet pack is the best! That is why Halo Reach is kinda good. Plus there is also a thruster pack.
I should be more clear. They didn’t call it a jetpack but rather a “thruster”, which is basically the same thing.

OT: I don’t mind, so long as it’s a pickup.
I loved using the jet pack. Doesn’t make me bad. I use it appropriately.
OT: I do think that the thruster/jet pack should be only for certain maps in certain gametypes. It does get a bit “map-breaking” in many scenarios in Reach. I’d like player flow to be a bit more map based, rather than 3-dimensional “anywhere you want; anytime you want” sort of player flow with jet packs.

Yeah I’ve seen it but I think people are using the term ‘Jetpack’, referring to Reach’s.
I would think it is more of a ‘Thrusterpack’ in which it gives a small little boost like an extra jump.
I know both words are kind of the same but when you bring Reach’s function into it they are completely different.
Not sure how I feel about the jetpack, it wasn’t bad in Reach but looking at what seems to be an amazing job by 343 I don’t want them to just follow Bungie, do things that they did and instead of making this game a great halo game by 343 that feels like halo but is 343’s, instead of just picking up pieces left behind by Bunige and making it feel like their games.

This is what I hope it does. If it’s a small-ish boost to a jump, or something that creates more of a “glide” or negates fall damage, than that’s great. I just don’t think I really want a flying ability in the same way that it’s implemented in Reach.

I don’t mind the Jetpack returning ( I never really used it much, but anyone flying makes a really easy kill for me).
Besides they said there would be a “Classic” Halo playlist anyway, so even if anyone did not want to go against players with armor abilities (or whatever they are calling it now), they could just go there.

I’m waiting to see exactly how 343 ‘learned’ from Bungie’s mistakes and ‘evolved’ AAs/Equipment.
