Ever since 343 has been showing off arena gameplay I’ve been wondering, why have sprint? I think that sprinting has made the gameplay way to different from what made halo well… Halo. Some of you guys might say that it’s to late to take out sprint and here’s what I have to say.I feel as if I have a solution for both pro sprinters and anti sprinters and here it is now obviously I want sprint for btb and war zone cuz some maps are just to big not to have but for arena it’s a different story. We can have a sprinting play list and a non sprinting play list. Now some of you may say that they’re not going to make a playlist out of something that small. But If it’s so small why is the community split on this issue then? I think that this will give both party’s their wants for this game
I ask myself that question all the time too.
Sorry no. Sprint works so well with Halo 5 maps and all the Spartan abilities and its balanced where you don’t regain shields or health while sprinting. Idk if you played the beta at all but sprint works. I was never a fan of sprint in reach or 4 but it works in halo 5
“Because it speeds up gameplay”
“Because modern games need it”
“It’s ‘balanced’ now because X reason”
There, I’ve said the bad pro-sprint arguments so we can go ahead and lock this now. Discussion’s over, logic and reason lost and H5 will have sprint.

It may only work well for you now because we haven’t had a new Halo game that didn’t have sprint forcefully imbued in the game lol.
Sprinting is here to stay because a majority of players either enjoy sprint or do not care either way. The people against sprint are a vocal minority.
And the reason they don’t do that is for consistency sake. I’m going to tell you a quote from a person who I used to always butt heads with on the forums a long time ago. It was one of the only things I agreed with from him. “343 needs to remain consistent. Either they need to go back to 1-3 and stay to that formula or they need to go all in with the new formula they are pushing. Consistency is what makes games good.”
If people are that against the new mechanics they can disable them in customs or go back to the MCC. You can’t please everyone. And 343 has chose to go in this new direction. People either need to accept it and try to enjoy it or move on.
I prefer having sprint and like benig able to run around the place, if you dont like it you could always just not use it
Oh god another thread about sprint!? There are already so many threads about this, couldn’t you have just posted there instead? Halo 5 is having sprint, it’s not going to not have sprint and that won’t change no matter how many arguments get posted and knocked down over and over again.
Do you not remember halo 3? Ya halo 3 was the slowest halo game to date… Felt like a slug.

May have felt that way due to the FoV, but the action is the same ol Halo quick as it usually is.

It happens for a reason, no matter how hard you try and sugar coat it.
There is a resistance, and it’s growing.

Probably because you either don’t know how to play or you only played Big Team.
But Bryan…why did you have to start all this? I was almost in a good mood this morning.

I played alot of halo 3. And i’m not the only one who even stated h3 was slow. So please don’t give me, " You don’t know how to play and you only played BTB" Cause you sir must of never noticed how bad it was.

Yay, lets fill the forums with more sprint spam.
Seriously, the horse has been beaten to death. Couldn’t we talk about more unique stuff.
They had a no sprint playlist in Halo 4… I never saw that playlist go over 150 people so yes combat in Halo has evolved

Well, thats like, your opinion. I don’t agree.
I just hope there is some sort of no sprint playlist in h5.

You will get told it wasn’t there at launch and therefore the people who cared about it left before it dropped.
You will get told the classic playlist was not classic enough. Which is why it didn’t work out.
Same was said about the reach classic playlist. Just a heads up.

Your logic is just wrong. Straight up, wrong.
What has always made halo MP so good is it’s variety and inconsistency. Halo mp’s customisation is it’s strongest attribute. Ignoring it is foolish.

Um, no they did not.

Correction, there was no playlists that had no sprint, what it tried to do was have weapon pick ups on the map, getting rid of the load out system.
Sprint could not be turned off so it was still in said playlist and that’s why it sucked horribly.
“Combat has evolved” blah blah, I guess people like you don’t know that was just a tagline added by a Microsoft marketing team cuz they feared Halo alone was not alone.
