Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of spartan ops. But when each minute is only 15-20 minutes and in total we only have about 10 hours of Spartan ops gameplay after 10 weeks makes me miss firefight.
Because when spartan ops is over there will only be multiplayer, forge, and theatre. Firefight was a great secondary option to play when you got bored of all of the other options.
they could have improved it too, reach’s firefight was going in the right direction… it just wasn’t as great as it could be.
but i’ll still be playing halo multiplayer/campaign until my eyes bleed
I personally think Spartan Ops sounds better than firefight. As well as more content, you will meet new dynamic characters and you will uncover interesting fiction.
ODST’s Fire Fight was fun, you had a ton of waves, there was zero control over it, you had weapons that spawned around the map, it was a game mode you could enjoy and spend hours with a few buddies holding your ground.
Reach’s Fire Fight, it was fun, but it wasn’t as fun as ODST’s, yeah, you can tune the waves, and what weapons you spawned with, but weapons didn’t spawn on the map, you had your load outs, and the weapon drops, it would been cool if Fire Fight was kept like ODST’s but with the extra options, and was another game mode in Halo 4. Spartan Ops is more of a DLC campaign.
> It’s not like you can’t go back and replay Spartan Ops missions. 50 fully storied missions, all replayable? I’d take that over Firefight any day.
Compare that to reach’s firefight where you either take forever to set up the game to your liking or play online and get the right gametype but the wrong map or vice versa.
Odst’s was superior in most regards but i much prefer the idea of dealing with a added objective than just sit around and -Yoink!- points till i die
