No Halo fan can denied this. 343 may have made a more balanced multiplayer, but still got to fix some stuff (in fact, a lot). Every single halo fan (or almost) is protesting against changes in multiplayer (such as Flinch, Sprint, Ground Pound, Shoulder Charge, etc).
Ok, we are angry because of that. So, why 343 aren’t listening?

Because they will listen to every thing we have to say that does not take away from their vision. That’s why they removed ordinance and loadouts but kept what they felt strongly about. Btw the flinch like behaviour in the beta was actually a glitch and not flinch.
and I’m sorry but " almost every fan" is not even close to accurate.
Flinch was a glitch in the beta and is being fixed, that was told to us during the beta. Sprint is still heavily contested, I’d probably settle for higher base movement, but I can live without it. Ground Pound is pointless to me, I never used it once in the beta. Shoulder Charge is iffy as it messes up with meleeing enemies in the back, so maybe it can be mapped to a different button. By and large I’m happy with how Halo 5 is turning out. Loadouts are gone. Ordinance is gone. I’m happy and if we get more custom game options I’ll be even happier.

Nowhere near every Halo fan is protesting. Why take to the Internet to talk about something that you are perfectly content with? 343 has listened. They got rid of Ordnance, Flinch (the current version is a confirmed bug, not intentional), loadouts, AA’s, they differentiated the rifles, Promie weapons now seem to be more unique…
Most of the complaints now are just down to personal preference or tiny balance tweaks.

You should have watched more professional play. Ninja was often getting 5 or more kills each game with Ground Pound. If used correctly, it’s an incredibly powerful move.

I thought the point of the shoulder charge was to screw up people attempting to doubel pubbel? It wouldn’t do that if it were mapped to another button.

If so, please explain how loadouts and ordnance aren’t personal preference.
The funny thing is, after writing an essay about everything wrong with the beta, I haven’t received any more surveys from their feedback program. I emailed the provided support email, but still no reply. I asked some 343 guys on twitter, still nothing.

Except most fans that are disappointed with Halo 5 have common themes on what people want, don’t want but are generally ignored. Which is why things like Spartan abilities weren’t removed but forced as standard ability like the sprint which makes maps seem smaller due to the speed of the game flowing quicker than it should. Fans asked for Halo not be dumbed down like alerting everyone about weapon drops constantly which made control impossible for new players since the pro’s would always know when exactly the weapons would spawn which makes camping power weapons more common. Then there’s the fan favourite request of returning the Elites to multiplayer which have been missing since 343i took over. So fans are ok with any random bad change but a lot of the community have been speaking out for a while, it’s been pretty sure that the fans hate the idea of Halo feeling more like CoD which should be a sign that Halo is not going down the right path if it’s getting wide hate over reasons like this.

If they listened, those things wouldn’t have been there from the beginning.

I’m more inclined to believe that it is a very vocal minority that is complaining about the abilities. Of the millions of people who play or have played Halo, only a very small percentage comes to complain on the internet.

But a very small percentage seems also to be playing the game two months after launch…
Halo 5’s maps and MP is so heavily built upon sprint, ground pound, clamber and everything else so removing one of those things would break the maps. Now if they removed Sprint, Clamber and ground pound they’d need to remake ALL maps, aswell as campaign, which would lead to a delay of the game. I have nothing against them delaying the game, it’d give them more time on the game aswell as more time to fix MCC.
343i does listen to the community and that is so obvious that reading this almost hurts. Read the abundance of examples above. What 343i isn’t going to do is to make fundamental changes they’d have to scrap their game for, to please half of the Halo community and piss off the other Half. What part of this don’t people understand already?

Because Halo 4 had more issues than some -Yoink- changes to multiplayer.

I have to agree it had its fair share of issues indeed. I still think however that the multiplayer was not good enough to sustain a healthy population nevertheless.
Because they aren’t a machine that churns out games every couple years that does whatever you want. They are a game developer and they have to balance what they want with what we want. They all probably play Triple A games and think sprinting and clambering are cool. So they added it to their game.
343 industries does respond to the community, on issues such as bugfixing, questions about Halo’s lore, and various topics which they find funny, or when they are asked about the direction Halo is heading in the future and they have a definitive idea of what they are going to do.
When it comes down to gameplay and other ideas from the community…that sort of stuff is in public domain if you post it on Halo Waypoint or other forums, so they can use those ideas without acknowledging where they came from, but the flip side of that [I think] is that they can’t acknowledge precisely where those ideas came from without being in danger of being enmeshed in legal disputes like “This was my idea, you said that you read it, so I want formal recognition in the credits/acknowledgement sections”–or something along those lines.
There’s also the fact that the creative process can change direction suddenly, multiple times. Someone at 343 industries might think “Oh, that’s a great idea, we should use that”–and if they post that here then if they end up not utilizing that idea in the final game the fans would be in an uproar “But you said you would be doing this in the game. You lied!”
So I’m fairly sure people at 343 industries read these threads, but are simply unable or unwilling to respond with any details about the direction they will be going in, until they’re well and truly ready to give out an official statement.
Geez. 343 does listen to the community–that’s why they’re constantly trying to change or fix stuff to please the community. It’s not their fault that the community can’t make up its mind–or only realizes after the change has been made that they really didn’t want that change at all.
