AND ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 20 NEEDS TO SIT THIS ONE OUT, This is for Halo Purists only. the Guys who were there when the original demo was released at E3 in 1999. Because frankly, by your 7th Birthday i was running Halo 2 CTF raids in SWAT mode before you could even read or write (your opinion is held a face value, which is little, VERY LITTLE)…
here is just a few things… 343 hired REALLY BAD writers…
LORE: Plot holes and Opinions:
When did the story-telling take such a left turn… the writing sucks since Joe Staten/Nylund Left. the Novels are boring, (they lack Imagination and that Military Feel based around today’s modern military, now the series feels like a cheesy science fiction soapy…), the Comics are Lazy, and boring…
The “Spartan 4” program: cause the ODSTs were so out for 2012… LOL TTYL GTG OMG!!! (there is some serious sarcasm going on here) - The ODST were the badasses of the UNSC-MC, (read “Dirt” from Halo Evolutions and watch the ODST live action Trailers) - they were considered the pinnacle of un-altered humans…
the Spartan 3’s (yes they were Psycho, yes they were altered, but they were the best between SPARTAN II and ODST, considering their survival rate was incredibly low, and they were selected for suicide missions only). the argument of taking ODSTs and putting them through Genetic Enhancements is slightly vaild (A cool idea if they hadnt cut out ODSTs in general, FML) here is where this being a cost-effective theory falls apart…
The Spartan 4 Program makes no sense in terms of cost… As stated in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, the cost of one MJOLNIR Suit was the cost of a UNSC Battle Group, battle group is a navy term (Usually consisting of 2 Frigates and a Battleship) - (Due to the suit had to be powered via Mini-Nuclear-Reactor Tech on their back, and somehow this INCREDIBLY Expensive armor is issued to hundreds of new bloods, are you -Yoinking!- NUTS!!! considering that the new novels have stated how the Human-Covenant war left Humanity in serious debt… wars are “spensive”…
The Bastardization, Disrespect, and Kamikaze of your favorite Characters… (thats right, they Retired Dutch, Killed off Rookie, Made Mickey a Traitor, AND MADE THE MASTER CHIEF appear a Villain… thee guy who has sacrificed nearly everything to protect humanity, - Score 1 uninteresting writing…- Obliterated Spartan Black Team FML
Did you see what they did to poor Halsey… made her a scapegoated war criminal (you dont see Hilary Clinton getting this kind of punishment lol), which in retrospect, i believe humanity would credit her for their survival… even if the the Spartans were created to fight Insurrectionists, which were a legitimate evil as well… Parangosky’s influence wouldn’t have held sway with Lord Hood, as he has credited Spartan IIs with saving his life multiple times. Im sure her Insubordination in stealing Kelly would’ve been forgiven/overlooked given the circumstances and the overall outcome with discovering Trevelyan.
Cortana’s Rampancy: it had a negative impact on me, considering she was the first A.I. ever to be copied/Created from Legit Human Tissue (and the most highly advanced A.I. ever), it seemed like the writers were trying to fill an enormous plot hole… Its unlikely that Cortana would’ve reached critical Rampancy that quick, even with all the Halo Data she absorbed… - this in turn led to an incredibly unrealistic Confrontation between Cortana, Captain Del Rio, and Chief on the Infinity’s bridge, no decent Captain in their right mind would put Cortana right in for decommissioning. FML
It’s funny, in actuality: a Captain wouldn’t be ordering around a Master Chief Petty Officer around like Del Rio did, while he is a lower rank, even Officers don’t discredit anyone holding the highest Enlisted rank… from what i’ve seen, they give orders, but respect their rank and authority as well… Del Rio was a Terrible Captain… TERRIBLE LOL - makes unrealisim stand out here to anyone privy to military life…
Gameplay:
YOU HAD 3 YEARS TO CRAFT A GOOD GAME… 343 Failed HORRIFICALLY…
The exclusion Couch Co-op, Split Screen, Big Team Battle, a long meaningful campaign,
Thats right, on Normal the Campaign is 4 1/2 hours, the shortest campaign ive seen to date (ODST was longer). IT TOOK 3 YEARS FOR 4 1/2 HOURS!!! ARE YOU -Yoinking!- JOKING!!!
Biggest Concerns:
MICRO-TRANSACTIONS in a AAA game title… not to mention a once respectable and high point series (did you see that Requisition commercial, c’mon there are opinions against it and guess what, its them majority, but Idiots will pay for it to get ahead faster… -Yoinking!- sellouts)
Cutting fan favorite game types like ODDBALL, KING OF THE HILL, and BIG TEAM BATTLE… why… just why… Warzone in theory might have worked but in reality its just a rip off of Battlefield Gameplay Mechanics (Like Halo 4 was ripping off Call of Duty, and Halo 5 Still is…)
Halo was made great by it’s simplicity, and originality… QUIT COPYING OTHER PEOPLES -Yoink- 343!!! Jesus enough is enough!
RAGE APE TIME:
Releasing Unfinished Games… 343… i don’t care what Microsoft wants, YOU ARE NOT E.A. GAMES… finish your games, make them worth the $60 right at release… I would want forge now… not in December… FML
Cater to all your fans needs… not just the -Yoink- your project manager wants you to hear… nobody i know has bought another console to play multiplayer…THAT -Yoink- DON’T WORK IF YOU FORCE IT!!! DON’T FORCE IT, SALES WILL COME ON THEIR OWN!!!
No Split-Screen… the Public Relations -Yoink- that came out with this announcement was unbelievable: (its harder to get together with your friends anymore–Yoink-!!!) there are still dedicated Split-Screeners out there… I don’t care about 60 frames a second, i want CONTENT… its like fun went Bye bye~~
WHERE IN THE HELL DID FANS SAY YOU COULD TAKE A “B” CLASS HERO (Locke) AND REPLACE -Yoinking!- MASTER CHIEF!!!
what the -Yoink- were they thinking… 3 out of 15 missions you seriously play as Master Chief… if it were half and half (Like Halo 2) i would be more understanding. but its not… we’ve got “Stick in the Mud” Locke running around trying to get to the main character… I THOUGHT YOU SAID THE RECLAIMER TRILOGY WAS TO REVOLVE AROUND MASTER CHIEF… Lied yet again, like when they said they were making improvements to Halo 5: Guardians… HAHAHAHA LOLOLOLOL
In the circles I run in, with Veteran Gamers and New Gamers alike: Halo 5: Guardians is complete Trash, it’s unfinished garbage… it’s a late released XBONE Tech Demo… its far from anything Game of the Year worthy, and all the right people know that… DO NOT DROP THE BALL AGAIN 343… you wouldn’t survive it… take my assesments as what they are… A Die-hard Fans Critique of where the series is going… I see the end, and it’s not very bright if you keep going in this direction… dont change something as wonderful and gridiron as Halo… you tried and went too far here, and it’s backfired terribly… only 15 year old dweebs are supporting this game… dont be that game company… you are better than that…
