NOTE: this is completely my opinion, if you don’t like it, go -Yoink- yourself. 343 did not have a Multiplayer Beta, Not because of time, but because they knew once hardcore Halo fans downloaded this beta and saw these new features, They would loose sales. I’m not a fan of these features that are being added to Halo 4. A lot of people aren’t. But sales would drop dramatically. 343 does not care about the community AT ALL. If they did, Why would they put these features in and make so many changes to the classic Ranking system gameplay and lobbies when no one was asking for them. Why is there not a 1-50 ranking system or something of the sort? I know I’m whining but I want to get my thoughts out there. Why are they being so secretive. I’ll tell you, SALES, big money. They’re tring to lure in people from other games with these features to make it dumbed down for a more casual audience. You know what I call this game so far? A pretty turd. But like everyone else, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Normally I’d chalk this up to self-entitled brats just wanting to play the game early/for free.
…But I DO vaguely recall reading once that games with demos before release don’t sell as well as games that just… release. Maybe because of the people who play the demo, realize it sucks and then don’t buy the game later.
well no one had a problem with the reach beta the hate came after the game released
A beta is out… Hopefully they will have a public demo downloadable from the xbox marketplace.
For one thing, why does there NEED to be a beta?
So feedback can be taken in before a games release. Unlike what 343 is doing.
They are getting feedback from probably the most competitive players. Stop trying to find stupid stuff to complain about. Maybe if Bungie did what 343 did, there wouldn’t be an armor lock in reach.
> well no one had a problem with the reach beta the hate came after the game released
A lot of people hated the Beta, including me. We just hoped and begged it was going to be fixed, since back then Bungie was still “God.” Unfortunately they didn’t and suddenly we realized that Bungie was just selling the “Halo” name with Reach, and wasn’t giving a ‘yoink’ about the competitive and casual community combined. So yea…we hoped, we didn’t get any kind of reply, and pretty much we just said go ‘yoink’ yourself in the closet Bungie.

The Reach Beta had it’s share of complaints.

You are one moronic tool. Bungie has more credibility because they have actually had betas and changed accordingly. Reach was a failure from launch.

people have already been able to play the game but theres no public beta. There was just a event in New York where people played the game you should look at their reviews

most of the changes that have been implemented now in reach 343 made
They did have a beta…Just not a public one.
They learned something from bungies horrid decision to have a public beta for reach.
Which is all console gamers do with betas is test the game out before they buy and not actually input there opinion/point out bugs.Which is what a beta is intended to be for a beta isn’t a demo.
All anyone pointed with the reach beta was the slow download time which was to be excepted &The laggy servers again shoulda seen that coming.
And then there were the none stop suggestions that bungie should increase the length of the beta.
If you yourself think that your post is “whining”, and if you’re going to flame everyone that contradicts you, then I don’t see how this thread can yield any constructive discussion. Locking for now.
