Whose awesome idea?

Whose idea was it to add a Mongoose with an AI Spartan with a rocket launcher on the back in Episode 3 of the new SpOps Chapter?

They don’t hit a single thing first of all, unless you count empty shade turrets. And they just blew my Ghost up with a rocket and killed me.

So useless.

Wait, so are you implying that Halo AI’s have been useful in the past?

> Wait, so are you implying that Halo AI’s have been useful in the past?

Haha no. I am implying how much more useless this combination of AI is compared to others.

I did realize all I had to do was take the passenger seat from him to make him get off and then steal his gun, though. Pretty easy solution.

I don’t know what you’re on about but I was THRILLED that I had a rocket spartan in this mission. Funnest part of ANY Halo (IMO) is having a hog with a rocket equipped passenger. ONI Swordbase was my favorite mission in Reach because of this and Ch.3 in this week’s SpOps is my favorite level for this fact.

It is TRUE that you have to practically come to a dead stop for them to hit something but if you’re a good driver it shouldn’t be that difficult. Playing on normal I only died ONCE right near the end when I boarded the Lich. Stupid suicide grunts in that tight closed in space… :x

You’d be frustrated too if you were playing on easy and you had a time restraint on your playing time and you didn’t want to die while playing the mission and then they shoot you with a rocket after not hitting anything for the whole game previously. (Run on sentence).

Well, that’s just bad luck.

I forgot if it was part of a Halo campaign but wasn’t there another instance with a marine equipped with a rocket launcher riding on the back of your mongoose trying to destroy the scarabs? Correct me if I’m wrong. :stuck_out_tongue:

every halo pro knows you take all the AIs good guns then let them charge to their death as distractions :open_mouth:

> every halo pro knows you take all the AIs good guns then let them charge to their death as distractions :open_mouth:

Every Halo Pro knows that you do NOT take all the AIs good guns. You GIVE them all good guns and stay behind them. Why? They have infinite ammo! INFINITE ROCKETS!!! MWUHAHAHAHAHA!!!

mine hit things

Why are you complaining about the AI spartans?
They are invincible with near perfect accuracy, well in that one SpOps chapter at least.

You obviously haven’t played with bad AI’s. Trust me, in Halo there are tons of them.

When I played through it, they hit the enemy pretty much every time. Sounds like you just had bad luck.

I don’t know, it seems like the Marines are brighter in SPOPS then the Spartans… WTF is up with that? Every Spartan I have gotten stuck with seems to be like a complete -Yoink-, sure some hit things, may be able to drive. The Marines, well they have a personality, almost every single one seems a lil diff and funny not a jock that runs when you flip the Hog by hitting a small rock.

In short, in SPOPS I would take a Marine over any of those Spartans unless it was the Chief…

i done that part solo with a mongoose and a spartan on the back. clear it all on heroic. only died towards the end. just keep riding around and dont stop. he hits plenty. no real differnce with the a.i compared to halo 3.
Still they need to step up the a.i more when we get new consoles. The friednly a.i was never great that needs improving. As for the enermy a.i i thinkits good but we are so use to how it acts after so many years now it needs some new moves lol

invincible is a matter of perspective…

i killed “invincible” johnson on halo 3 at the end and took his spartan laser.

it was epic.

They did work for me.

Are they capable of fighting on foot if I destroy their vehicle? Sounds like reliable support for once.

You may have been stuck with caboose cause I felt like I had chief inmy passenger seat lol

Just to clear up one thing, those aren’t Marines, they’re Spartan IVs.

We must have had very different Spartans in our Ops because on Legendary, I drove the mongoose and had the Rocket Man sitting on the back sniping Covenant and Vehicles wit the Rocket Launcher.
