Now that we can throw/pass the objective, we can actually make a legit basketball gameptype.

one of the coolest features of Halo 4 personally.
My first thought when seeing the oddball passed was football but I guess it would be interesting to see basketball implemented in some way. Hot potato used in conjunction with this feature would make for some interesting games.

Just wondering how they would stop people from walking more than the 3 steps with the frisbee… great idea for a custom or action sack game

Well, depending on what traits you can give the ball, you can set it to a four second detonation timer (or whatever, I guess it’s all on how big your map is) and have it reset every time someone “new” gets the ball. So, just for this, let’s assume that I can take a step a second; if I don’t pass the ball after I take my third step, I blow up.

You could make it so that the ball carrier couldn’t move, but could throw and jump etc.

Seems like a good idea, except when the bomb blows up its going to kill everyone around the player… Is there a trait for explosion size?

There should be a trait that automatically stops the detonation once thrown and resets it once catched.

No i mean if some guy holds the ball for too long he will kill everyone around him

That would be a good side effect to the game. You have to be spot on to not kill most or all of your teammate. It will probably kill the opposing team as well if they are close.
Maybe use the oddball instead of a bomb? Idk I guess we’ll find out when it comes out and people start going crazy in forge.

Will that also effect the guy holding the ball?
