In Episode 4, Halsey has a pad and on it the pad it says that they need to talk and asks her how much she knows about the Prometheans. I think this is The Librarian, do you agree? Or do you think it’s someone else?
Holding out hope it may be Chakas. Doubt it though.
One would assume it’s the librarian what with her having set up the Chief, Cortana and the armour development for a specific point in time, there is defiantly a possibility that she would have also set up Halsey to “discover/create” all the things the Librarian had set in motion.

I think it’s either the Librarian, a Forerunner AI, or maybe even an Engineer (Floating aliens from ODST).

My main question is WHY on earth the didact is contributing to her return.
She meddles to much in his opinion.
OR maybe she holds the key to his return from where ever slip space sent him.

That could be possible, seems little silly to include him in the books then have no connection to Halo 4. Personally I wasn’t expecting Halsey, Jul M’dama or The Librarian to appear.

I think Jul M’dama is in charge now personally. They have yet to give us many hints on weather the Didact lives.
A grenade blew him off. His armor held him together. I don’t think the Didact still lives … at least, he wouldn’t quickly recover from that pulse grenade without his Cryptum.
I suppose it is the guy who talked to Halsey in the Prologue. That is why Halsey asks ‘Ask again, who are you?’
I have a wild theory based on little more than speculation and wishful thinking that it’s a Cortana/Librarian hybrid AI. Hehnce the “It’s complicated” (paraphrased) response to Halsey asking who it is.
