NOT 343.
MICROSOFT STUDIOS. They have final say on everything Halo, and either they or the Microsoft Overlords forced this pre-beta through a sham of a test to get gold status, and obviously forced 343i to meet their abitrary anniversary release date.
Never forget this. I take this kind of implicit lying about the quality and standards from a manufacturer very seriously. Someone else mentioned it before-the likely reason we did not get an MCC/Xbox One bundle is because they knew it was so buggy they would have taken a loss on the justifyable return of the console as well as the game. I pre-ordered the digital copy and THEN the massive 1st day patch was announced.
Not to mention…
- No dedicated servers
- Can’t join a custom game or Forge session that started
- Can’t keep a game lobby together in Matchmaking
- No Gravity Hammer in H2A Forge so all those cool new features are useless for Grifball!
- Multiple threads showing the PC versions of Halo CE and Halo 2 were used not the originals
- No population counter
- No file share on the website
- No way to see a file on a players fileshare unless they are online and in the game on your roster
- 25 days in and still broken in any aspect across the spectrum of players.
- Promises of making it up while giving new purchasers 15k Microsoft points…tone deaf…
I see the way they do business again and again. Well. I may play the beta, but I will NOT pre-order Halo 5. I may not even buy it PERIOD. I will certainly wait until the inevitable bugs, glitches and fan-enraging bad design choices get sorted out. THEN I’m buying second hand because I want to bite your hand Microsoft Studios. I want you to suffer a 59.99 plus tax loss.
I’m also moving my family to all Android products. The last product I truely needed was Excel but I’m moving my spreadsheets to a Chrome compatible app that gives me all the funtionality we need. 3 laptops not being replaced with the next Windows, not getting any Windows phones for any of the 5 lines we use, and this console is the last one I am getting victimized by. Not buying any more books, no soundtracks, action figures etc. Bargain hunting for Xbox gold access…last monies you EVER get from me Microsoft Studios! And tell your Overlords, the crap rolls uphill so I’m eliminating Microsoft at every level as purchasing decisions come up.
