who's H5G villain?

So who do you think is the Villain in H5G? Please don’t even say MC or Locke, that’s just not acceptable. Maybe H5G will go the HCE route and not have a direct antagonist. I’m thinking it’s going to be an AI since Halo has done the saving the universe from the Flood which is an organic threat, also prometheans running around talking about the Domain is kind of threading near a possibility of a AI vs organics theme.

Here’s a few outlandish AI villain ideas: 343 Guilty Spark(or what’s left of him), Cortana (yes, they say she’s dead, so maybe it’s her broken pieces and not the original Cortana), and Mendicant Bias (because why not, he was talking to the MC in H3 right?).

What about the Didact?

They say he’s dead, hit with 7 composers at once if I recall correctly.

I think it’s going to be someone completely new

I wonder why 343i would invent another antagonist when there are so many possible ones that have been established. Who knows?

He’s said to be contained not dead. Also one of the earlier Xbox magazines had an article on halo 5 that said he was going to be in the game.

The Didact was composed.

Doesn’t mean he can not be the villain in some shape or form.

I’m pretty sure the villain will be ONI at first and then the Warden Eternal after the humans band together.

Well if I understand what happens when being composed correctly from the way the terminal videos explain the Forerunner failure of digitizing themselves then the Didact would be really messed up if returned to a physical being.

I think the Guardian will start off being somehow “useful” to the Chief, but will end up betraying him and causing horrific destruction. It is most definitely the cause of the ruined city on the front cover and from the MC and Locke live action trailers. I’m not sure they’d make Cortana such an integral part of the story so soon after her death however. Perhaps halo 6? And mendicant bias is also completely possible I think.

This new “Warden Eternal” guy seems to be some sort of antagonist.

I don’t think he’s the man in charge, he gives off too much of a lieutenant or second in command vibe.

Black Box if the AI vs Humanity thing is going any further. Or maybe some sorta of ancient Forerunner AI, I want to say Mendicant Bias but I know it won’t happen.

What if there isn’t any concrete villain?

Probably that.

I didn’t rule it out, just speculation on an actual villain to see if anyone has good ideas.

Dun dun, dun.

Anyways, we know so little of the campaign that anything is possible.

From the roster of characters available I don’t think anybody would make a good traditional villain.

I’d agree with that.
