I for one am excited for this new 10 year game. I’m not one of those critics that are complaining about a few graphical bugs or “oh this isn’t next gen” halo to me has always been a story to be told and a Spartans life that is experienced through the player…so yes I’m excited and even more so how well multiplayer is going to expand for tournaments and e-sports.
I’m very interested in everyone else’s thoughts and input on this
I’m right there with you. People are so obsessed with graphics these days. For me if a game is graphically impressive that’s just the cherry on top. At the end of the day what makes me want to play and like a game is the story and gameplay. Graphics are at the bottom of my priority list. I was hyped after the demo so it was disappointing to me to come online to see what other people thought and 90% of everything you could see is people complaining it didn’t look next gen. Hopefully they updated the graphics enough that people can start talking about what actually matters
I just want to see the engine optimised for less pop in (clouds / grass)… and maybe some better lighting.
I understand their 10 mins will be all about campaign and multiplayer… but I hope they release some stuff about Forge, scripting, and the API on the side.
I’m holding myself back just in case. I thought the game looked fine during the gameplay reveal last year, but if 343 and/or Microsoft believed Infinite needed another year in the oven, then so be it. I just hope that they really took advantage of that extra time.
Oh I’m very excited. In fact, I’m probably too excited that it’s gotten to a point where it’s unhealthy. I feel like I’ve watched the 2020 E3 demo at least once a week since July, and I refresh these forums every day to see what people are talking about. And this past week has been extra obsessive- every morning I wake up and one of the first things to come to mind is “5 more days until more Infinite news.” So yeah, I have to calm the hell down. It’s just a game.
I’m also “excited” to see the flood of posts hitting waypoint 2.5 seconds into the anticipated multiplayer reveal where a hundred different people will start complaining about the tiniest of details. That’s always entertaining. I remember 5 minutes after the gameplay demo started last year, I refreshed these forums and saw somebody rage post about bloom in the gameplay. Should be another good show this year.

Judging by the Inside Infinite posts we’ve seen, they most certainly have mad excellent use of this extra time.
LETS GOOOOO!!! I was so hyped when H5 released I played it for 23 hours - 1 hour sleep - play for an entire week (paid leave) so I am sure infinite will have me feeling the same!

> Hell yeah I’m hyped. Not sure if staying up to 3am to watch the thing live is a good idea or not, but regardless, more Halo is always exciting.
My plan is to go to bed early. Get up just before 3 and watch. Hopefully get back to sleep ok before the alarm goes off at 7.15 for work.
Yep. I am excited. I think that’s why there has not been a huge amount of press around Season 7 for Halo:MCC. They don’t want anything to get in the way.
