Well I know it’s not a novel, but Halo Mythos is gonna be epic.
I’m cautiously excited. It depends on what topics and stories the novels will follow. If it’s something like Last Light or Shadow of Intent, I’m up for it. If it’s Hunters in the Dark, no thank you. The author of the novels would also be important. I also doubt we’ll get as many novel as we did last year, but I’ll be cautiously optimistic for at least 2 novels.
A Jiralhanae novel would make sense to have considering that Halo Wars 2 comes out this year. Also, something related to the Created, maybe something on the state of the Galaxy immediately after Halo 5 would be possible to happen.
You know what would be great? A novel that does Jul’s character justice, and goes over the Bloodying Years from the perspective of Jul 'Mdama and his Covenant, from its conception to the Requiem Campagin to the Battle of Sunaion. Show us that the war isn’t as simple as “good vs evil” or “Thel vs Religious nut jobs”. Show us the war was dark, gritty and complex, with no side having in particular advantages over the other.
A novel on the Great Schism post Covenant War from the perspective of the Jiralhanae would also be welcome, for similar reasons I’ve stated above in regards to Jul’s Covenant.
Are there any coming out? Other than Mythos, I mean. If only talking about Mythos, I would say “Too Excited”!

What is this people are talking about? Mythos is coming out, but what, did they announce something coming out this year?
Doubt we’re going to get another book flood til halo 6 hype rolls around. There’s no way they’re keeping 2015’s momentum without overwhelming fans.

Troy Denning has talked openly about wanting to write lots more novels for Halo, especially since Disney betrayed him and he doesn’t have any reason to work on Star Wars any more.
They should slow down I’m barely finishing up all these new novels!

When where the last set of books announced last year?
As long as the novels actually add to the universe and fix some of Halo 5s plot points I’m all for more novels
New Blood comes out on paperback next month (it has been available digitally for some time now), but, other than that, I haven’t heard anything about new novels.
Depends. Will they be novels set in the 2553-2558 safe zone where Cortana’s influence isn’t immediate? Maybe. Post-Halo 5? Not particularly. Personally with how Cortana said Halsey must pay for her crimes and 343 playing softball when talking about Cortana and not criticizing her too much (as opposed to how they talked about Halsey), I have a feeling 2016 may slip back into another meeting of the Halsey Hater’s Club. But if we can get a Veta Lopis and Team Saber novel that involves them against Cortana’s forces? That’d be nice.
A book about Cortana’s journey through the Domain would be cool. Cause so far that makes zero sense to me.
And did I miss the part where Halsey found out about Cortana before Chief? I may have nodded off.
