This. I’m frustrated in seeing a hojillion threads over the same handful of things. I wish that we could just have one or two megathreads for feedback on the current issues with progression, the store, etc. instead of the top threads being a list of the exact same complaints, rebuttals to those complaints, and so forth. It’s driving down the quality of discussion.
If one of the top threads was just about everything that’s taken over the subreddit and this forum the last while, I’d be glad.
But they did. We had multiple flights and in the latest one in October, everyone told them the BattlePass is not good and must be changed. They didn’t listen at all. They literally through the BattlePass at us in the most recent flight, were told that it’s not good and proceeded to release it anyway.
We tested it and refused that feedback.
I didn’t take the time to reformat my last post, but let me clarify since you missed the point.
I am not comparing Halo to Destiny. I am comparing the headlines in the news. Todays news, the eve of the launch of the campaign. Halo has negative press for the campaign not having a replay function. Destiny has positive press for something as simple as giving away something Halo themed.

Regardless of your or my thought on Destiny, this is the news. This is what casual gamers and people who are interested see.
Neither of the flights dealt with the business side. They can’t just NOT release it lmao it’s literally the only way they are making money off of multiplayer (because campaign will not carry them enough). The feedback can’t be “nope, completely restructure your game AGAIN” without expecting the game to get delayed again. And that delay would not go over well, especially with the way people are crying rn
Having a replay feature at launch is of zero importance and is only negative news because people love to complain. And comparing the NEWS of those games also doesn’t make any sense. If you go back three weeks, the NEWS was “OH MY GOD THEY RELEASED MULTIPLAYER EARLY!!!”. The headlines changed, they always do.

Every halo bar odst had a “New engine” “story” 2 years lost to pandemic still gives them 4 years.
Theres quite obviously lots more going on here and should it ever come out I believe it will be fascinating.

So what do you dislike or need more info about regarding his post? The point of my post was that people are acting like everything needs to be fixed immediately and if it isn’t then the game will fail. 343 knows they have to fix/change stuff and they are working on it and that should be good enough.

You do realise that even building from scratch you have the ability to look at how previous iterations functioned, and while building you model after that with what you mean it to be.
Reach featured challenges and Bungie never stated they had problems making playlists. It also featured Commendations.
Halo 4 had Commendations
Halo MCC even got a battlepass system implemented with challenges on top of the games post launch.
Not only that but why would they entangle challenges and the playlist system like they’ve done, if they planned on untangling them later?
And, duly noted. No mentions of it being a temporary thing.

It’s too close to launch to call it a proper beta, as I mentioned with all the timings of their own times off.
New challenges being glitched isn’t going to be fixed at launch if the team is off.
