Whoever said the bloom on the DMR is useless?

Like seriously, this always happens to me!

Uhmmm… I dunno what missing your shots has to do with bloom, but I think Halo 4’s bloom has pretty much no effect at all on my accuracy with the DMR. In Reach I really had to wait for the bloom to settle before I fired again. In Halo 4 I just hit the trigger as fast as I can and come out as the winner.

The bloom is worthless.
so long the marker is red the person can kill someone within 2 sec at every range.

Bullet magnetism with the DMR would’ve made that shot land if I wasn’t spamming. Not only that, I got a hit marker from that, which means it was registered as a hit. Therefore, if it did not hit his head, that means it hit his body, where my reticle obviously wasn’t pointed.

The bloom is a visual cue, it has no gameplay effect.

Same as the Sniper.

This is un-true.

http://imgur.com/WZOnwdx The shots on the right show what happens to the bullets when spamming. As you can see, they are spread quite a lot around it. 343 also said themselves that Bloom is prevalent on the weapon, just not to the same degree as in Reach.

There is one thing that your video doesn’t show. It’s the same thing every video doesn’t show. LATENCY.

I think it’s just more that you plain missed lol

DMR bloom in Halo 4 is functional, but not nearly as severe as Reach’s. It only comes into play at long range, which is redundant since that’s its intended specialty to begin with. Bloom isn’t the solution, although I didn’t really have a problem with the Reach DMR post-TU. A ROF nerf and reduced magnetism are the way to go.

If you watch, I get a hit marker on the last shot aimed at his head. This means my shot has been registered. If it’s been registered but not hit his head, it must have hit his body, which just shows how much the bloom affected that shot.
