I would pose this inquiry to Amazon. People have claimed that they have received the game on release day from Amazon, but others have reported that their orders that shipped that day. Amazon should be able to tell you.

I think that is more of an email thing. They send a code on release date with the bonuses. I pre ordered the Circuit Skin from Walmart (lol 35 cents) and got the some sort of points towards a video service first. The code/bonuses, i assume, arrives when on the date they give you.
Best bet is to ask Amazon if all else fails. I am not one hundred percent sure.

did you shell out for release day delivery?
if so, then you will (most likely, after all sandy may have socked in the distribution center nearest to you) get it on release day
I’ve never personally had any problem getting it on release day when I specifically payed for that delivery option.
Depends on when they get the game to amazon, and what kind of delivery service you chose.
I’ve gotten my games a day after release most of the times when I ordered from the UK, I live in Finland, but this was when they got the games way before the release date. I sent them a question yesterday if they could start sending it my way because my pre-order said estimated dispatch date is the 5th, no way it’ll reach me in two days, or three.
They responded that they’ll send it as soon as they get it.
So, depends on when they get it, what delivery service you chose and how far away you are.
If you selected 2-day shipping, then it will be on your doorstep on release day. If not, well go to the “Your Orders” section of the website, scroll down to Halo 4 and look at the estimated delivery date…

You actually thought that you would be getting the game early just because you bought it off amazon?? They aren’t stupid.
If you have a student email address, you can actual get amazon prime free for 6 months (student trial). This will allow you to select the 2 day shipping and thus get it release day.

That’s not what I was going for.
I wanted it release day, not early.
Now I’m going to have to drive to blasted Gamestop to get it :l
