Veta Lopis (Last Light) to replace Tanaka, Thorne to replace Locke.
They don’t need to replace any characters. They just need to stop being idiots and actually flesh out their characters in the game, instead of assuming that most players will read the books that they appear in to get to know them. (Even if players do read the books, not showing their personality is still bad storytelling on 343’s part)

I would love any of these options, preferably Romeo. I really thought Macer was gonna be one of the Spartans on Locke’s team after I watched Nightfall.
Palmer or arby… best options. Or put Jun back in the field.
Definitely macer,during nightfall and after it was over I was like yup that is one of the Spartans with locke,and then to many people’s surprise she is not in halo 5 at all.I might actually replace vale with macer,vale while ok in hunters in the dark had no experience at all yet is somehow made into a spartan
Vasily or Palmer. Vaz is one my favorite Halo characters, with a huge well established back story. I like Palmer too. She kinda pissed me off when we first met her, but it makes sense that she was just show boating around chief.
You guys complain about a lack of character development and yet keep suggesting 343 dump characters when they aren’t immeadiately hits.

Macer is still a wildcard in the whole spartan theories, we all know she made it off the ring with locke but not much is said about her after. I hope that in one of the new books or in a future volume of escilation we will see her retuen in mjolnir armor.

I thi k its all a matter of opinion, but I like tanaka, not just for her armor but her resemblance to the late foehammer.
Tanaka was the only character in 5 to receive any character development, 343 shouldn’t drop characters doing so only makes the story worse.
Jun or Romeo if I have to replace her, but I’d rather not.

No one, it’s about time the Halo franchise showed some love to black/ mixed-race women instead of relegating them to minor characters. Tanaka is an excellent character with an interesting backstory who showed subtle development throughout each of her appearances. I can’t wait to see more of her, and I hope that 343 will give her and Vale (another underrated member of Osiris) more opportunity to shine in future media.
Tanaka is pretty bad. If they gave her more character I might like her. I’d prefer Romeo any day to her though. Though I know Jun is doing other things, it still be cool to see him too lol.
