Personally I feel Bungie’s Master Chief would destroy 343’s version of chief from halo 4 &5.Why??Because he was a walking tank in Bungie’s and 343 made him get all emotional more human over Cortana’s death.After learning he went awal in 5 he would be more likely to get killed than any of Bungie’s versions of him.Plus halo 4 made him feel weaker playing him and watching him get choked out by Didacts force didn’t help…Basically I felt more like a super soldier with Bungie’s version and more human / weaker with 343s. I would add BUNGIE DID THIS WITHOUT CHIEF SPRINTING!!!Seeing grunts fleeing from me saying they were sorry helped too.

No the Gravemind clutching him didn’t bother me at all I see the Gravemind as a stronger antagonist than the didact. Thats why It doesn’t bother me at all Gravemind would do the same to the didact. Plus he also clutched the Arbiter too.

Let’s see…because from his point of view, he’s gone through the events of Halo Reach, Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4 in the course of a few months. Cryo-sleep is hardly a vacation–its a way for the universe to move on without you and it sucks when waking up–cryo-burn, vomiting, etc, etc.
So, to put it another way, in the course of a few months he’s lost virtually everyone–nearly all of the Spartan-IIs that he trained with, Cortana is breaking down inside his head, had to deal with a threat that no other Spartan has ever had to face [aside from those missing on the Spirit of Fire]–the Flood, gone up against the Didact and the Prometheans–who are far stronger than the Covenant, oh–and by the way, all of the Spartan-IIs, including him, are obsolete now. Just, FYI. You’ve been replaced–and the war with the Covenant is over–sort of.

Blindly obeying a robot you just met isn’t thinking clearly. Jumping out of space station with a bomb isn’t thinking clearly. Jumping out of a ship and falling to the Earth isn’t thinking clearly. Thinking clearly isn’t exactly Chief’s strong suit, but he is lucky.

Look, the Halo 1-3 era Master Chief is still somewhat hopeful. He’s got a job to do: defend Earth, and he’s the only one who can do it. Now he’s like a war veteran returning home and it’s like: oh, it’s YOU. Why aren’t you dead!?
In Halo 4 he got slammed around, knocked out, beaten up, held up by some weird Darth-Vader-esque guy who has obviously gotten out of the wrong side of bed after 100,000 years, and he’s just found out about Cortana dying and there is basically nothing he can do to stop any of it.
I get that 343 industries are trying to tell a somewhat deeper story, but frankly I just want the MC to be badass again. Some dialogue like, “AHHHH!!! DEMON!!! RUN AWAYYYY!!!” may help.
They’re essentially the same character, except the one in Halo 4 seems to actually have character development and a story arc.
In terms of power and abilities, Chief has a greater arsenal in Halo 4, access to armour abilities and an upgraded suit of Mark VI armour. He also received the Librarian’s genetic modifications.
I think Halo 4’s Chief is stronger as fighting force and character in the saga. I prefer Chief in Halo 4 to how Bungie portrayed him.

Yes I agree bring back the DEMON RUN AWAY stuff it was so much fun to hear that.I feel like he is suffering from P.T.S.D. by now and is tired and run down. I liked playing as the badass better
