Who would like more assassinations in halo 5?

Who would like more assassinations in the final released of the game?

What would it be?

What I would love to see is more assassination animations. Some of them could be:

  • Your running to the person, instead of punching you and slide just before you reach them. It triggers your spartan to grab there head and pull it with them with the slide.- You spartan charge them into a wall, your person shoves them strait into the wall and proceed to fight with them for a bit before snapping neck- Any pistol one where you kick them in the leg and shot them in the head.- using your weapon as part of the assassinationAlso the ability to grab there weapon off of them when you go for the assassination. You could even include something like it into the assassination.

I like #4 the best.

I like all of those. A simple shove face first to the ground and foot stomp to the back of head would be fun too. But that’d probably slap Halo with a Mature rating. Lol

… Unsure if expanding the hold-to-assassinate method would work for shoulder charging an opponent to the back but I would sure love to see some ragdoll enhanced moves because of it.

As is I would be happy with being able to thruster in manually once I know I am in range, and then hold melee for more efficient methods of killing.

Since we don’t need an ability to help speed up the animations, I would like to seem the all be quicker Reach or H4’s… About the speed of the aerial double-fisted overhead hammer assassination move, but for all.

… When near a wall or against the ground, smash the opponent using thruster assisted force…
… If near a ledge, Izuna Drop off the edge into the ground below??? (no flying upward) OK, this one might be a while to execute, relatively speaking :slight_smile:
Definitely near new environment options??? Smash the opponent into a powerbox and they fry??? (I could dig it.)

But honestly, getting a slight increase in speed execution across the board is my first priority. Definitely would love some new layers though.

I’d love to see more, especially contextual or weapon-related ones. Have they said anything about the H4 animations being currently used? I originally assumed they were placeholders.

#4 is the best idea, maybe choking them with rifles ext.

I think a ground pound assassination would be as can be!! Like if you land directly on an enemy you crush them and finish them off for good measure.

For the spartan charge I would like it to turn into you grabbing them and doing a 360 spin to the right and throwing them to the ground. Something along those lines

I am also thinking of environmental once as well that by doing an assassination at this spot, it would actually effect the map.

Exp: Remember on Empire there was a giant turbine in the center with glass covering it? what if at the side panel of that, you could shove a spartan through the glass and cause it to start sucking and sliding anyone at that spot into it after that.

How am I supposed to run back and hide behind a wall when I am wasting precious seconds to show an extraneous animation? With the direction 343i is trying to take on the competitive aspect, I’m surprised they don’t remove assassinations entirely.

Thank you lol. I would like more animations but honestly assassinations are going to happen significantly less frequently. Everyone that tried to assassinate me in the beta, I just jumped and thrustered backwards to turn the table on them.

but still, when you are able to, It is the best. Just that you were able to instead of spartan charging is a feat by itself

Placeholders? where at?

I know it is not likely but I think it would be cool if they gave us an area like forge where we can create an assassination that is unique to your player or maybe making specific suits of armor do specific types of assassinations.
