Microsoft’s Xbox One is basically half a games console, and half an entertainment system . Sony states that the PS4 is completely focused on games, which is winning many people over to the PS4.
I would get the PS4 because all of my friends have already pre-ordered it, I don’t want to pay for an entertainment system that I won’t use, and I don’t have enough space for another 1990s VCR sized machine under my TV.
I would buy Halo for the PS4 because I love Halo, and am highly likely to get the PS4 (unless there is an Xbox which is fully focused on games, which is unlikely to happen).
I don’t think the Xbox One will be any less a games console as the PS4, just because Microsoft also have entertainment features on their new console may not mean anything other than the features are there, no I wouldn’t buy Halo on PS4, the Playstation controllers always hurt my hands for some reason, the Xbox controllers feel much better, so I would rather buy Halo on Xbox for that reason alone, there are other ones but it is late so I’m not going into detail
> Sony states that the PS4 is completely focused on games, which is winning many people over to the PS4.
If that is so true then why during E3 did they show all of this?
> I would get the PS4 because all of my friends have already pre-ordered it, I don’t want to pay for an entertainment system that I won’t use, and I don’t have enough space for another 1990s VCR sized machine under my TV.
Then don’t pay for it. You’ll still be using it as a gaming system, it just has all sorts of other things that benefit the system. I wouldn’t have a console sitting under a TV if I was you, regardless its size isn’t that much of an issue.
> I would buy Halo for the PS4 because I love Halo, and am highly likely to get the PS4 (unless there is an Xbox which is fully focused on games, which is unlikely to happen).
Both consoles are ‘focused’ on games but the Xbox One is focused on much more. You act as if PS4 doesn’t have Apps like the Xbox. There is no fully focused system if that’s the case then why are they both supporting apps, entertainment, video streaming and so much more?
To answer your question I’m sure people would buy a PS4 version of Halo, but it would never ever happen.
PlayStation controllers have always been very uncomfortable to me. The Xbox 360 and GameCube have had the most comfortable controllers, IMO. Also, Microsoft and their developer support are awesome. Xbox all the way.

“I Pity Fools.”- Mr.T
You say, “1990’s VCR”, like your not old enough to know what it is. Just say VCR.
I will play my Halo on my Xbox One thank you, and instantly switch to Halo the TV show, while Match-Making and priming the twitch app to upload my game video; after I crush in multiplayer that is filled with non-screaming child players, because the Xbox one has Smart-match. Oh and when I go to my neighbors house to play Halo his Xbox will recognize me and log me in and remember my control scheme based on my face when I pick up the controller.
I would purchase it on the PS4 since then I would not have to get both systems to play the games that I love. A perfect console is one that would have both a lot of JRPGs and Halo. I doubt that the Xbox One will have as many JRPGs as the PS4.
I can’t ever see myself buying both systems. Thats a lot of money to drop for gaming consoles and I’m already upset with how expensive next gen consoles are…

Currently, 12% of Netflix users only watch Netflix on their Xbox, that’s almost 3 million people, there are about 46 million people subscribed to Xbox live, that means 15% of the time, someone is going to be watching Netflix instead of using it as a gaming console. Bring all the other apps into the equation and you will see why -Yoink!- decided to bring the entertainment aspect into their console. There was a meme I saw online during the whole Xbox One bashing month, where there was a picture of a bunch of famous gamers avatars, (including BS Angel)and above all their avatars it shows what their all playing and its Netflix, and the tagline was something like I understand why -Yoink!- likes TV so much or something like that and I really wanted to show you but I couldnt find it

Damn you for fooling me with the female avatar code

If it is true, why have an Xbox just for that? Seems like a waste.
If I theoretically had both consoles, which I won’t, and if Halo was theoretically on the PS4 as well, which it won’t be, I would play it on the Xbox One nonetheless. I very much prefer the controller of the Xbox consoles over that of the Playstation’s, and I’m a big fan of the way Xbox Live works. The Xbox One also seems to have more features than the PS4, which all look so great.
I’m sticking to the Xbox for the next-gen consoles, and I doubt that I’ll regret my decision.
Xbox One is just as much of a game system as the PS4. It can just do more, varied things than the PS4.
Basically ask yourself this: does it play next gen games with updated graphics and processing power? Does it improve on all features the previous generation had with secondary game options such as the arcade? does it add new game-related functionality in such as the Kinect and a universal theater mode? Yes? It’s a gaming system. Everything else is ancillary. People knocking the One for being an “entertainment system” are knocking it for the very things that makes the One awesome.

He never said they do, he said of Netflix subscribers, 12% watch Netflix only on the 360. But they use the 360 for other things too, such as gaming, apps, TV and so on. Now that the One is, fittingly enough, an all in One system, it’ll be the most convenient entertainment product you can buy, imo.
