The Warrior-Servants were the military rate of the Forerunners? However, the Warrior-Servants were the force during a war. The Builder Security was essentially a military group under the Builder rate, comprised mainly of former Warrior-Servants. So, would the Builder Security essentially be the military during times of non-war?
No. Builder security forces only came around after the warrior servant rate was abolished. Before the take over of the builders the warrior servants were the military. Think of them as the people who are active duty, similar to what most nation’s have in modern times.

Oh, kk. So the Warrior-Servant rate was disbanded, the Builders created the Builder Security and the majority of Warrior-Servants joined the group. Am I an idiot, or is this pretty much right? Weird I forgot about this as the Forerunner Saga is my favorite arc in all of Halo.

That’s exactly what happened. Kind of like when the CMA(?) was disbanded and most of them joined the UNSC.

No you are not an idiot, it pretty much is only mentioned once and it takes careful attention to catch it in the first place, only reason I remembered it was because I’ve read every Halo book pre Halo 5 multiple times.
