The UNSC is getting to big for it breeches, and are pushing people around. I believe this will sour relations with the Arbiter and his faction. On top of this we saw in Hunt the Truth that the ONI Silenced Ben. But that doesn’t stop people from believe him. With what Master Chief did, and whats going on in the outer colonies. I believe the UNSC could be leading to a Civil War. I personally want the Spartan IIs to go back to their homeland the Outcolonies and Join the Rebellion, and rid ourselves of the pathetic IVs.

I’d rather see a better system put in place rather than the wholesale destruction of the UNSC. Otherwise with ONI essentially a government unto itself, we may have a Builder vs Everybody situation that hurt the Forerunners on our hands.

Like | DR HALSEY |, I’d love to see the Unified Earth Government and constituent agencies reform itself once more into a federation of the worlds occupied by Humanity. Far-flung colonies would become semi-autonomous entities within themselves and break free of the bonds of Sydney’s colonialism and imperialist policies. Each world would stand on equal footing within the eyes and practices of the law with each other, and receive individual protections regarding their planetary defense, labor and industry, and social welfare. This is how Earth and her colonies should have been from the start, and while it seems like the UEG with its inception in the 22nd century wanted to make this the possibility, this is the absolute only sensible way to stave off yet another major civil war within the Human sphere of influence.

They could have easily kidnapped them from any of the Inner colony planets. They took them from the outer colonies because the people were more expendable. The Purposely favored outer colonies. As another dude said below, Jorge is from Reach. The S-IIs are not just limited to the Outer colonies. The only reason a lot of them did come from the Outer Colonies (or so we think since we’re still finding out how many S-IIs actually were operational) is because the Outer Colonies were given a free Vaccination Program that made finding a genetic match easier. Either 343 reconnect that or Hunt the Truth purposely had some false information so that people would who read both the newer and older Fall of Reach would see that. I see this scenario being far more likley.

But regardless people in the Outer Colonies would see it the same way.
-Spartan-IIs were created to fight the insurrection while Spartan-IVs weren’t, so it’s more probable for them to join the rebellion, and some already have, which is one of the reasons why they are “pathetic”.
-UNSC isn’t growing bigger, it’s actually smaller than pre-war, except from ONI controlled forerunner sites (halos, ark, Trevelyan).
-UEG is now ran by politicians and ONI, while during the war it was ran by UNSC.
-Not all SII come from outer colonies as said above.
-Also our current time cities favor the center over suburbs, this just grows exponentially when taken to planetary scale, but doesn’t make the UEG corrupt (it isn’t a positive fact either).
-It was the rebels you support to initially blame Chief of the massacre, the one idiot politician (Del Rio) ranted against Chief and the others didn’t speak about it to cover it all up.
-As people said there was no intentional against outer colonies style policy that forced ONI to kidnap from there, this was just an ironic consequence (not a cause) of the very vast database of outer colonies children’s genetics and of many operational reasons: outer colonies are less secure, more people disappear from there than on inner colonies, so it was easier to be unnoticed, it was also easier to kidnap given less efficient security control from police/administration (I’d guess inner colonies are full of cameras and surveillance drones), the outer colonies are distant and communications aren’t so developed while in the inner colonies word of kids of the same age being kidnapped in the same period could have spread more easily.

I’m pretty sure that because 117 was framed for the murder of Sekibo, that Blue Team will not be seeing the UEG in a very positive light. It is obvious they do not have their citizens’ best interests at heart if they protected Sapien Sunrise from a negative image to likewise prevent the general population from knowing that they needed Blue Team and had obviously failed by allowing him to go AWOL, as well as their obvious distaste for Sekibo and his comrades in the outer colonies. My theory is that ONI, through the UEG, is moving into power the SS through allowing certain fundamental elements of the outer colonies’ infrastructure and systems of governance to fall, in addition to secret monetary transfers via off-world bank accounts and interplanetary organizations. The rise of the outer colony-based SS and their increasingly frequent terrorist attacks will not only whittle away what little foundation the outer colonies have against the UEG, but also paint them in a bad light via the ever increasing presence and terror of the Sapiens.
They obviously pose a threat to the Arbiter and the Swords of Sanghelios, and if my theory is correct, the UEG will take no path that threatens the SS. This would mean a loose, and eventually steadily solidifying commonwealth of outer colony planets in allegiance with the Swords, united by Blue Team and 117, would come together against ONI’s sock-puppets, i.e. the UEG and SS. This at least until the involvement of the Covenant, Forerunners and/or Flood.

I’m super confused didn’t the UEG publicly denounce the actions of the SS clear chief and arrest active participants. What if the sad cold reality is that they used Ben and that’s all. I agree it’s not clean but when are covert actions ever clean… HTT came across as all to convenient?!
