who wants some forge gameplay?

I know there has been some topics before about this but, I made this one for people to put all there halo 4 forge ideas so 343 will see and try those ideas in the game. 343 might also give a little forge gameplay out. Which I think they should give out a little gameplay because forge has become a HUGE part of halo. So, post your ideas on halo 4 forge like what you want in it and hopefully 343 will notice and start working on it if they havent already.

One thing I’m hoping for is the possibility for there to be AI character insertion into maps. It may work if you set the parameters right too in-game.

Race: Covenant, UNSC, Promethean, Flood (Maybe)
Character Type: Grunts, Jackals, ODSTs, etc.
Armament: Choose the weapons armed
Behavior: Passive, Defensive, Aggressive
Movement: Still, Patrol (Create waypoints), Seek and Destroy (Actively seek targets)
Team: Choose the team the AI will be associated with. (Makes for good AI to AI fights)

I’m pretty sure that forge is going to be the same. But i hope they include forge world like map.

All i need to see is the return of forge and save films and ill be happy.

I think it would be cool if there were more than one forge world type of maps and have all of them with different environments such as desert, jungle, grassland, arctic, etc. They should also bring back the carrier hog from halo 3 at least for forge. Maybe they could even put pelicans,phantoms,and dropships in forge. Plus, the elephants or the big vehicle from the vid at E3 that ressembles(sorry if i spelled that wrong)the elephant. That brings back memories of sandtrap. On each type of forge world map(if any)they should have a wide open flat area so its easier for forging. If you guys have any more ideas please post them.

Yeah, Bungie didn’t announce anything about forge for Reach until their panel at Comi-con. Forge will definitely be back but I think that It will be pretty much the same thing as reach. Other than adding more forgeable items, giving us the ability to design maps inside of the Infinity and maybe giving more textures for spawned structures than just boring and dull steel (maybe like what was on sandbox).

Multiple things. One is I don’t think that there will be a forge world like you are imagining it. I think they will use the Infinity to explain the ability to spawn several different environments in which to forge. Second is that you don’t really need a flat area because you can just sink things in to the ground the right amount

And yes, and hopefully we can make maps complete with AI fights.

No worth the effort in the terms of coding and we simply don’t need it.
For forge we need pratical things that would actually be beneficial which could include,

  • The ability to group objects, allowing you to move a group of interlocked objects as 1 object.
  • A setting that highlights all killzones simultaneously.
  • An undo function
  • Texture selection
  • Larger outdoor flat areas to forge on
  • The ability to despawn objects
  • Having a larger spawn timer so we’re not capped at 3minutes for weapons/objects
  • A paste like function so if you place one object and want another at the same angel you could have the ability to spawn it in at angel instead of setting it manually.

Hearing things like AI or there needs to be scarabs or the like in Forge is simply unpractical.
